But there's also a very solid reason for him to have it (check out Wookieepedia). It flat out says that he used "a body-hugging Force Bubble". Yes, we're trying to limit multiples of the same ability, but at the same time we don't want to compromise a character's accuracy because of it.

Here is the entire exerpt from the Wook: Rhysode had a special talent for telekinesis and a casual approach to use of the Force, causing him to frequently display his mastery of it.[6][3] He was also skilled in the use of mind tricks, and had some proficiency in using the Force to make himself less noticeable.[6] He was capable of using the Force to create a barrier and manipulating that barrier with great finesse, going so far as to create a body-hugging Force bubble around himself to keep the blowing sand off him on Bimmiel.[3] His danger sense, however, was weak.[8] First of all, it says that he was skilled at mind tricks, but we're likely not going to include that. Also, it does say that he could create a Force bubble, but not in a combat-related way. Stopping blowing sand is a lot different from stopping a lightsaber or blaster bolt. I think something like LS Block, because of his stand against the melee-heavy YV, would fit better. Leaving out Force Bubble will not harm how accurate of a depiction of the character we create any more than leaving out Jedi Mind Trick would.

Why Whirlwind when he already has Twin? My apologies. I was thinking LS Sweep and for some reason typed Whirlwind. Sweep with Twin would be powerful, Whirlwind with Twin would be rediculous.

Ganner is known, almost exclusively, for his final stand against the YV. This, I feel, is something core to the character and therefore should be represented in our custom stats. Prior to his final moments, he was an average Jedi at best.
To that end, let us look at that stand. Ganner knew his stand was self-sacrificial to help Jacen (and therefore the war effort). We also know that he killed hundreds of YV in melee combat. Finally, he ended it all with a massive Force attack on the structure above him, causing a collapse.
How does this equate (possibly) into a solid set of stats? *Self-Sacrifice: one way to represent this aspect is to have benefits/penalties that key off of Hit Points. i.e. Gain X while less than half HP remaining *Huge Body Count: Twin Attack, LS Sweep, LS Assault, Damage Bonus, Mighty Swing, etc *Bringing Down the House: Force Push X (boring), Force Repulse, etc
I like the idea of Ganner starting as a blah melee character, which is really who he was. I also like the idea of him getting crazy strong based on some criteria being met. Less than half HP (the inverse of Niman's qualifier) is a good way to keep it realatively realistic and balanced. This will also demand some finesse in playing the character to the fullest, which is not a bad thing.

Since he was trying to buy time and stop the Vong from going after Jacen, perhaps he should have Protective, for either Jacen or Characters with a Force Rating.

While it doesn't explicitly state that he could use Bubble during combat, we may infer that he could. I don't think it would be a stretch to give our version this power which would give him something seen only on one current WotC character.

It is possible, but I was merely pointing out the fact that we've seen it once from WotC, and are already using it once in this set (Celeste Morne). I don't think we should give such a rare ability to two characters.

Ah, I didn't realize Celeste had the power.

But they're there for good reasons. Also, just because Wizards hasn't mass produced the power, (like GMA) we can't immediately assume that it is supposed to be a rare ability only given to a few elite characters. They just haven't used it that much.

I think there are better possibilities, however. As Force Bubble is not a "standard" ability like Double Attack or Lightsaber Deflect, using it more than once in a set (especially one with only 20 characters!) makes it far less unique for Celeste to have it. I think that, due both to the fact that he stood up against the Melee attacking YV and because it gives him excellent synergy with his faction's two best commanders, Lightsaber Block would be the best solution. Also, just because Wizards hasn't mass produced the power, (like GMA) we can't immediately assume that it is supposed to be a rare ability only given to a few elite characters. They just haven't used it that much. Actually, because WotC's use of their abilities is the only thing we have for reference (talking about the number of times they've used an ability), we can only assume that it's a rare ability.

Lol, looks like both Celeste and Ganner are gonna end up without Bubble, whatever. Here's another alternative: Lightsaber Riposte. It adds to the "finish or die trying" feel. He can't stop the damage, but he'll hit you back (and with Twin, for possibly more damage than he took).

If Celeste loses Bubble (which I think she should keep but whatever), then I would be fine if Ganner has it. I just don't want BOTH pieces with it.
LS Riposte is a very interesting idea. I like it more than either Block or Bubble. What do others think of this?

K, here's the stats for reference:
Ganner Rhysode - 35-50 pts
HP: 130 DEF: 20 ATT: 15 DA: 20
-Unique -Melee Attack -Twin Attack -Crowd Fighting? -Impulsive Master of the Force?
F2 Renewal 1 -Lightsaber Sweep -Overwhelming Force -Force Bubble/Lightsaber Riposte
Twin and Sweep I like. Overwhelming Force makes sense, as does Riposte (or Bubble). Impulsive MotF I'm not sure on, as well as Crowd Fighting (though it does fit the scene).
