Increasing range. Hmm.
Force Thrust 1: Range 6.... Force Thrust 2: Range 8.... Force Thrust 3: Range 10.... Force Thrust 4: Range 12.... Force Thrust 5: ?
Now, is this what we were thinking? If so, what do we do about the range? I do believe it should end at Range 12, because we've seen that. On the other hand, we could make Force Thrust 5 have a range of sight. Some of the other powers are sight based, and I think this one could be too, especially because it costs so much.

That looks good, Jm. I think Thrust 5 would be fine at site. Now with increasing range, it has it's unique niche. I don't think we would want to combine long ranges with splash damage, but keeping the activations on 3 and 5 would be fine, I think.

Yes. It's interesting, for sure. How are we going to deal with the damage? Start at 20 and work our way up to 60?

I think that would be fine.

Man, you guys post so fast. I think the range should only increase by 1 each level, so it doesn't get too insane. Level 1: 6 Level 2: 7 Level 3: 8 Level 4: 9 Level 5: 10 and then level 3 and 5 would get the bonus of splash damage at the expense of replacing turn.

Lol. 12 squares and then sight isn't too bad. You're paying extra Force for it, and 10 more damage. I would think it's worth it. And an odd number range seems a bit odd.

Sight? This is like a lunging move, is he like teleport-lunging or something? We've got to keep it reasonable.

Lunging move? I always thought it was a powerful thrust of the Force, not carried out with a lightsaber.

Oh. I always imagined it as a *lightsaber* thrust. Hence the range of 6 on it, since you can only reach so far. Lol, talk about miscommunication. Jm, what's your take on what "Thrust" is?

I always thought it was a like a Force Push, too. I think if it was a saber thrust, it would be called Lightsaber Thrust. But, then I don't know for sure. I can see that it'd be a saber lunge, but I'm a fencer, and I know how to lunge. If we say that each square is 2 1/2 to 3 feet (based on the size of a mini), that'd be like an 15-18 foot lunge. A full fencing lunge grants you eight feet...if you're lucky.

Ya, but hey, these are Jedi. That's why its "Force" Thrust, it's a force assisted lunge.

That could be true, but if it were, I think they would end their turn next to the target instead of staying in the same space, creating the impression that they're not moving at all. Also, I think a "lightsaber thrust" would do more than 20 damage, save 11 for 10.
Hmm. So we don't want to go to sight? If it's a lightsaber lunge, then it shouldn't, but if it is a thrust of the Force, I think sight would be fine. Look at Force Push 4, which would be a similar action to Thrust. Plus, a range of 12 often isn't too different from sight. Plus we're paying 5 Force to do it. What do you think?

Flip a coin, anyone?
Either that, or someone gets to contact WotC Rob, and ask him.

If we do contact Rob, it would have to be either you, Jm, or RS, as I don't have a Wizards account.
