Yeah, I know. But HK mentioned a rifle that can take a target at the knees at 120 kilometers in KotOR... I know. Same Sith Lord as Deception, by the way, that's why he has to wear the mask. Darth Malgus is what he's called, and Hope is set before Deception. And gameplay doesn't look anywhere near that - if it did, then I'd actually buy a good computer just for this game. Lightsabers don't cut in any games except for TFU - they're far too universe changing for good game balance at full power. Just consider them on training settings.

Yeah, that's true. We never see 120 km in KotOR though... I don't even think the swoop tracks are that long.
Lol. Do you think you'll get the game?

Lol, not a chance. The swoops might average 100 km/hr (maybe) on the track - they're going really fast at the end, but super slow at the start - and a good pilot can run the course in just over 20 seconds. So, based on distance=rate x time, that gives us this:
20 x 100 = 2000 m/s 60 x 60 = 3600 m/km 2000/3600 = .555 km
So, the tracks are about a half a kilometer long. The dune sea might be a kilometer across in KotOR, but nothing else even comes close. You can see for a long ways in a few places, like in Ahto City, or on the Great Walkway on Kashyyyk, where you can look off over the sea or into the trees respectively, but you certainly can't travel that far.
I doubt it. I have a Mac, and I don't think I'll have time to play a MMO - if you don't want to be bullied, you have to be on all the time, and if you're not on, others are and they're levelling up, so they can pwn you later. I just think it's too hard to be good at MMOs, and there are always bullies. I was really hoping it was going to be like a KotOR III, just an RPG, but it certainly doesn't look like it. These videos seem to have nothing to do with the real game.

Lol. That's true. The only 120 km we see is in space...but it's not like we can actually do anything in space, except shoot at fighters.
Yeah. I don't know if I'll get the game. I don't really have time for it. But we'll see.

That's a good point - you can see the Leviathan and the Star Forge, and they're a ways away.
That we shall. Then you can tell me if it's any good.

Yeah. In KotOR II, when you battle in the space above Onderon, your ship probably flies for more than 120 km, but it's not like you're controlling it or anything.
Yeah. I'll probably at least try it out, and then decide whether I like it or not.

Oh, I suppose. Lol, is that the only fighter defense in KotOR II? I can't remember. Sounds like a plan.

Hmm. There's the one when you visit Onderon during the civil war, where you can control the turret tower, and on Peragus were you control the little blaster thing under the Ebon Hawk. I don't remember any other times where you shoot fighters in KotOR II.
Okay.

Right. The Peragus one is a lot of fun, lol.

Yeah, it is. It's difficult to shoot them (but hey, it's difficult to shoot accurately in all the turret sequences in KotOR), but the explosive barrels make it a lot of fun.

Well, I really like the lowered blaster cannon concept, and it was awesome that it made it into KotOR II as well. I was even more pleased that we even got to use it, never mind it's relative effectiveness.

Yeah, it is. Of course, it makes the Ebon Hawk even more a rip-off of the Millenium Falcon, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm not sure where the Exile shoots the lowered blaster cannon from, though. Maybe the communications room that has no uses except for a completely useless security camera system. That might have helped in the first KotOR, but it has no use in KotOR II.

Lol. I looked for the cameras too, and I couldn't find any. Why would it help in KotOR?

It would help with finding that one child that sneaks on board. Maybe.

Lol, Sasha? She wasn't too difficult to find. The security system is useless in KotOR, you can't even access the menu. That room essentially has nothing in it, except for T3 upon occasion.
