Ok I think I might just have this one spot on. Ill explain all of the stats after. Yammosk (Vong) Cost Non-unique HP 50 Def 16 Att 0 Dmg 0 Emplacement Master Tactician Energy Beam-replaces attacks, range 6, +8 attack for 10 Dmg Force Immunity If Yammosk is defeated and there are no other Yammosk on the map, then non-unique Yuuzhan Vong characters gain Savage. Ok now to explain, Yammosk were not unique since it was a species thus it being non-unique allowing more than 1. Master tactician explains Yammosk to a T. Emplacement was from their history burying themselves into the ground. Also in the history it states that when the Yammosk died the Vong it oversaw were driven into utter chaos. This being said, savage makes sense because then all of the Vong lose their commander effects. However, those who play Yammosk wont just place them anywhere and will protect them at all cost. OK thoughts on Yammosk, seems fun to me

Where'd the energy beam come from? I don't remember that...
I'll buy Emplacement and Force Immunity, as well as the commander effect, although it seems like it should be a special ability (and therefore non-Disruptable).
Master Tactician... Hm. Maybe. These are "coordinators," so I would have envisioned Booming Voice or Relay Command (as well as a commander effect, maybe even a +X/+X to Defense and Attack) more than Master Tactician.
In terms of basic abilities, these things were huge (if not larger), so the stats should probably be higher, and modeled on other huge characters.

I really like the version we have in the database. Take a look.
16. Yammosk Cost: 52 HP: 150 Defense: 15 Attack: +7 Damage: 10
Special Abilities: Melee Attack Melee Reach 2 Booming Voice Speed 2 Rapport (Yuuzhan Vong)
Commander Effect: Yuuzhan Vong gain Gregarious.

I like that version, although we might want to consider Emplacement or Speed 0. Could the yammosks move at all?
I also like DG's negative effect when the yammosk is defeated. That's a serious enough downside that it would lower the cost a bit (making the yammosk more playable).

To add in a third option this is something along the lines of what I was thinking.
Yammosk Cost: Mid 40's Hitpoints: 120 Defence: 12 Attack: +10 Damage: 10
Special Abilities: Melee Attack; Melee Reach 3 Emplacement Coordinator (Allies may move up to Double their speed and still make an attack) Force Immunity Booming Voice
Commander Effect: Allied Yuuzhan Vong gain +4 Attack and +4 Defence.

Ok I am going to mix all three of them together and see what come up with. Oh and to explain mine, apparently the energy beam was something that had to shoot at spaceships but didn't work so I am dropping it. I think the part of Vong gaining savage should stay because if you do some research on them it says upon death of the Yammosk the Vong were driven into complete chaos...sounds like savage to me. I am still wondering on Master Tactician too, I forgot completely about Booming Voice, since no but Amedda has it. OK so here is a combo of all three because these guys once they were in place did not move. Yammosk (Yuuzhan Vong) Cost HP 130 Def 14 Att 8 or 9 Dmg 10 Emplacement, Melee Attack, Melee Reach 3 Force Immunity Booming Voice I am thinking making his death not a commander effect so it can't be disrupted at all. Like I said prior it drove them into chaos so we could lower their cost so you could play more than 1 Yammosk since they are not unique. Make it an ability that says when the Yammosk dies Yuuzhan Vong gain savage unless there is another Yammosk in play. Giving them melee reach 3 atleast makes them able to hit something that comes near them even if it is for only 10 damage. Add in the shaper and Priest and then it will do some damage. How does everyone feel about Yammosk now?

technically no, they generally moved very little but once they stopped moving they didn't move again. Thus why I decided emplacement would be best, they bury themselves into the ground called their "home"

I made a kind of sketchy one a while ago, it looked something like this:
Yammosk
Cost: 46 Hit Points: 60 Defense: 19 Attack: +0 Damage: 0
Special Abilities: Master Tactician Booming Voice Dominate Emplacement
I'm not suggesting we use this one, but I'm just posting it for comparison and possible combination instead of just suggesting things (which I'll also do now).
Our Yammosk doesn't need MT, though it does fit and would benefit the Vong (arguably the least playable faction) a great deal. Emplacement I think is necessary, they would just imbed themselves and not be able to move at all (from what I remember). BV is really necessary, the YV need more than any other faction, including the Republic. I gave it lower stats to keep the cost down (I don't think it would really take all that much to take them down, even though they were huge). Dominate is there because from what I remember they could control those would got near them and it makes it really interesting combined with the fact it can't move.
I really like the suggestion of the Vong getting Savage if the thing dies, that's a really cool and unique idea to offset a very powerful piece. I agree with gwek, though, in that it should be an SA.

So it seems the general cost is around the 40's and 50's.
16. Yammosk Cost: 45-55 HP: 60-150 (woa, big jump there) Defense: 15 Attack: 0-10 Damage: 0-10
Special Abilities: Melee Attack Melee Reach? Booming Voice Emplacement Rapport? Master Tactition? Impulsive Savagery (for Vong allies/followers, though name might have to change)
Commander Effect: Yuuzhan Vong gain Gregarious?
I really like the CE and the Savagery part, as well as Booming Voice. MT I'm iffy on, it seems to be going around the factions and we don't want it to just be something we throw on.

I agree with gwek. With what you have there, RS, I could see the HP being around 90 or 100 (this would also help to keep the cost down). And just wondering: were these things immune to the Force? Would Force Immunity be appropriate?

Well there isn't any info on their force immunity, but I think itd be nice to have. Ok maybe drop melee reach 3. What about if we just did single normal melee attack at 1 square away for 10dmg so it can sort defend itself and not get beaten up by Ugnaughts. Drop MT and keeping booming voice. Impulsive Savagery for Vong is soooo canon, You get this amazing bonus for Vong with booming voice, but if you screw up and it dies, BAM uh oh savage. I can totally see myself playing this piece.

Personally, I'd say drop any attack capabilities, but give it Damage Reduction or something. Many Huge pieces have some sort of hefty defense, so the yammosk should be no different.

So damage reduction 10 with a decently high HP, around 100? No attack ability but has booming voice. As well as rhe awesome death to savage ability, totally worth the risk IMO.
