For the purpose of finding a perfect name (none of the mentioned ones are "bad" per se but don't seem to be perfect), I'll post synonyms for some of the suggested names:
Befuddle synonyms: addle, baffle, ball up, bewilder, bother, daze, disorient, distract, dumbfound, fluster, inebriate, intoxicate, make punchy, mix up, muddle, puzzle, shake, stupefy, throw off.
Trickster synonyms: charlatan, cheat, con artist, con man, confidence man, conniver, deceiver, imposter, swindler.
Yet other possibilities would be beguile, scam, manipulate, and mislead.
But I'll support any name we want, it doesn't matter to me. Good work with this piece!

Befuddle and Fluster are my faves. Fast-Talk could work too, I don't think the name is pivotal, it just has to accurately describe what he does.

Can we go with Befuddle and lock him down?
Gryph Cost: 16 Faction: Old Republic Hit Points: 40 Defense: 15 Attack: 0 Damage: 0
Unique Befuddle (Replaces attacks; target living adjacent enemy is considered activated this round and cannot make attacks of opportunity this turn; save 11) Diplomat (If an attacker has line of sight to any enemies without Diplomat, this character is not a legal target and does not count as the nearest enemy, even if adjacent) Disruptive (Suppresses enemy commander effects within 6 squares) Rapport (Characters named Jarael or Zayne Carrick cost 1 less when in the same squad as this character)
Commander Effect: At the end of this character's turn, 1 follower within 6 squares can move up to its normal speed.

Well, let's get a few more ok's from the group on "Befuddle". If it works, we're good to proceed to lockdown.

I also have opinion, based on 4-Lom, Droid Mercenary’s SA Stun Gas and off to change
Befuddle (Replaces attacks: target living adjacent enemy is considered activated this round and cannot make attacks of opportunity this turn; save 11)
on more properly:
Befuddle (Replaces attacks: adjacent living target is considered activated this round and cannot make attacks of opportunity this turn; save 11)
What you think?

I'd be okay with that change. I think the original phrasing came from Jedi Mind Trick, but I don't think there's a gameplay difference and this seems to be updated phrasing.
In general, I'm still happy with the stats. He clocks in at about 600 characters, and has 5 "traits," so he should fit nicely on a card.
If we make a change (other than re-phrasing), I'd think it would be to Rapport. I like that he "should" be played with Zayne and/or Jarael, but I don't know if lowering their costs by 1 is enough to merit it being on the card. Thoughts?

I'm not sure Rapport would be enough, but it could work if we have the room. Jarael is a good option in almost any squad, and taking a point off her cost won't be a bad thing.
With MotF released, I think we may need to revisit Gryph's CE. It's basically a better version of Lord Hoth's CE, and Gryph costs quite a bit less. I think it would be best if we came up with a different effect.

Unless we come up with a commander effect that takes up significantly more space, we definitely have room for Rapport. I just noted it the thing that I would cut IF we did cut something. If other people feel like you do, I'm perfectly fine with keeping it.
On the one hand, I agree with you about the commander effect. It does cover ground as Lord Hoth--only better.
On the other hand, there's precedent for that (cf. Thrawn and Lord Vader; there are probably other examples. And, frankly, Lord Hoth's commander effect is kinda lame. The Old Rep needs all the help it can get--and since these commander effects only impact one piece, I can see a squad that could utilize both effectively. Heck, if anything, post-Hoth, I think we should change "follower" to "ally"!
If we go with something different, how about:
Droids are subject to this effect: At the end of this character's turn, 2 allies within 6 squares of this character who are the same size may switch positions.

On a side note, I've taken up my X-acto and have de-pigged a DDM Farmer; am debating leaving his right hand as a fist or cutting it off for a pointing finger; a Snive fringer is about to be sacrificed under the knife ... more on this later this weekend.

I look forward to an update. How hard was the, er, de-pigging? Actually not that bad; cut off the butt and head, trim it down till they're flush with the body, then bore out a hole and round off the edges. Trim off the cleaver, figure out what to do with his right hand, and detach the hooded head. I'll know more after I Paint/Glue.
