I'd say 43 points with the HP at 90, and 45 points with the HP at 100. Which do we want to go with? I say 45 with 100 HP.

I believe it was BH who said that Surprise Move worked best without Renewal and without a Force battery. Since Vergere is a Fringe Force battery, it could prove problematic.
I don't want to speak for anyone, though.
Personally, I think this mix works pretty well. I think Surprise Move goes back to making the character too flexible/mobile.

I think there are a few iterations of Tholme that could be done, and a few ways of making him that are viable. And surprise move certainly could be part of it. But I think this version has enough to get him balanced.

And now it looks like we're in the final stage of the last piece requiring discussion (at least until we see a card for Celeste Morne and see how she fits...).

Looks good to me, but after a long break it seems (to me) that his cost may be a bit too high. The way I see it, he doesn't offer as much to a squad as his price entails. Within his own faction, he doesn't really compare to General Skywalker in terms of usefulness. Comparing to other Force users with Disruptive, he doesn't even come close to the effectiveness of Kyle Katarn, Jedi Battlemaster, who may very well have more synergy with his faction than Tholme does.
With the most recent set of stats, I could see him costing in the high 30s, about 36-39. IMO, he wouldn't be abusive at this price, even with all of the Republic's movement breakers.
Sorry to kind of restart the discussion when some members have already approved, but I thought it would be best if I voiced my new concerns.

At the risk of opening another can of worms (No, I'm not going to hammer on Surprise Move) what we really should be working on at this point is Cards and Mini's; we're close enough that we've already been asking what's next. Well, waiting for all 22 in the set to be done is an excuse and a crutch. It's time to move with this. Sh#t or get off the pot as they say on Tatooine.
The real question is with Mini's at a standstill, can't we work on cards? I think Galakfyyar was supposedly working on cards?? If so, he's disappeared of the planet for 2 1/2 weeks.
Questions and comments needed ... lets get moving .....

It seems with Wizards ending the Star Wars line, a lot of the wind has been taken out of doing any sort of fan projects, and I'm sure a lot of people are just no longer interested now. I can't really say how much longer I'll be working on these types of projects, but I really want to see this get finished. We've worked pretty hard for it and I'd hate to see it just die.
But that said, we really do need to get moving. Unfortunately, I don't have photoshop with which to do the cards. I'll see what I can do about the figures, though no guarantees.

So, before we start declaring doom on our project (which has already far surpassed my initial expectations), let's make sure we're all agreed on Tholme. BH9 thought that he looks undercosted now. What does everyone think about that?

Since my vision on which "version" this Tholme is, and yes if we can have a dozen Vaders, why not more than one Tholme in my far, far, away galaxay, I'll roll with the majority. My only question would be to BH; is he overcosted because of what you see in the new set, or what you've concluded after a fair amount of thought? I try Not to be swayed by something new. Would he have been 49 without the new set? Or would you have changed to a lower amount anyway?
