Yes. Ani, Champion, is my version, and he should be that good. And I'm not even being a fanboy here.

Yeah. I think (hope) we will get the beat Annie we've been waiting for in Galaxy at War. According to the booster art, we will get another Grievous, Kit Fisto, and Asajj Ventress. Fisto will be nice, but I think we have enough Grievous' and we just got a good Asajj. Oh well. Maybe they'll make a commander Asajj, and a remake (but better) of GG, JH.

Yeah, I always thought GGDAC was the best version of Grievous that WotC could decently make. But, oh well. And Asajj...enough with the EU characters already, when we have terrible main characters.

Yeah, I agree. But it's weird: people want EU characters. After K'kruhk came out in JA and turned out to be a dissapointment, there are some who want another one in Galaxy at War. With NR Affinity. I don't even know who that guy is.

Yeah, I guy on Bloomilk.com made a joke about everyone wanting NR Affinity on practically ever piece. I plan on making a Darth Bane with NR Affinity for GOWK, using his joke.

It's irritating. The NR is a non-movie faction, unlike the Rebels or Republic (which I can understand Lucas' overzealousness, because they're the good guys, and the good guys are supposed to win). However, unlike in the movies, where we saw what happened, and can therefore agree on power/skill levels, the EU is basically all video games - where people identify with the main character, and therefore, tend to overpower their subconsious version of themselves in SWM - and novels, where we get such phrases as "Luke expertly swung his saber..." Expertly? What is that? Does that mean Djem So Mastery, or Lightsaber Precision? In the books, all these unclear references have led to people's favorite characters becoming way overpowered, and that's really the reason that the NR (which should be a decent, but beatable faction, constructed like the Imperials, with good pieces and terrible pieces in the same set, not a game of one-upmanship like it currently is) is so overpowered. Instead of supplementing existing pieces, they replace existing pieces in the faction, resulting in totally different squads from year to year, instead of the core squads you'll see from former Tier I squads, like the Imperials, with Mas, Lord Vader, Thrawn, etc. It's all fanboyism that makes the NR the beast that it is today, with a high number of Unique heavy hitters rather than any real battlefield strategy.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. You are exactly right. I really dislike the NR because of the reasons you've stated. Nearly everyone wants the NR to be very good. If the NR doesn't get a good piece, WotC might have a riot on there hands. Look at how many are dissapointed that K'Kruhk doesn't have NR Affinity. And compare Kol Skywalker, and Darth Maul, Sith Apprentice. Kol is superior in every way, except damage potential, for 5 points LESS. That tells you something.

Lol. That might be power creep, though. Look at Luke, Jedi Knight and Luke, Jedi. That's textbook power creep, right there, and WotC isn't even trying to hide it.

Yeah. Unfortunately, there has to be some form of power creep. That Luke was pretty bad. A lot of the RS pieces aren't really playable. I still prefer my RS R2 over the new one, though.

Yeah, it is. But I love the classic feel RS R2 has. Plus it has a much better sculpt and a ....better name. The +2 defense is nice too.

Yeah, considering Artoo got shot eight or nine times, but never died during the saga.

Yeah. HE SHOULD HAVE AVOID DEFEAT!!! That would be awesome. R2 never dies! There should be a 3PO with a Spare Parts SA giving adjacent R2 AD.
