Lol. Do you plan on doing a lot of reading over the summer? I have about two dozen thriller novels, from various authors (Jeffrey Deaver, Brad Thor, James Rollins), from my grandmother, to read. We both like the same type of writing (thrillers), so she lends them to me when she's done. Of course, she has a lot more time than I do, so they keep piling up on my bookshelf.

I do read a lot - it'll only take me a few days to go through an average length (250 pages) novel. I'm into thriller, too, but fantasy is probably my favorite genre. Hence why this board exists - a lot of other people like the genre too.

Yeah. I've read one good fantasy trilogy, I haven't really tried any others. It was The Dragon King Trilogy, by Stephen Lawhead. I read it a few years ago, but I would read it again. If I didn't have so many other novels to read. Lol.

Yeah, I hadn't heard of it either, the first book was a gift, and after reading it I wanted to read the next two, so it must have been pretty good. For an early teenager, at least. How it stacks up to my standards now (especially after reading Lord of the Rings books, and watching the LotR movies), I wouldn't know.

What's really funny is that the LotR books are quite different from the movies. Have you finished Return of the King, yet? The movie just ends about 3/5 of the way through the book, which is odd. However, I will say that the movies are probably and improvement to the books (for once), because they simplify some of the arguably irrelevant storylines, such as Tom Bombadill in Fellowship. The movies kinda end on a high note with the coronation of Aragorn, but the book ends in a much darker fashion. I think the movie is better for it, it really improves the whole series for me.

Yeah, I noticed that they are a lot different. I found some of the things in the novels tough to visualize. The movies are very good, probably even better than the books.

And then it's actually one of like one series that that's true for. Most movies aren't as good as their novels, let alone better.

LOL. Well, everyone makes mistakes; I think it was left in our portable DVD player, and left somewhere when we went on vacation. Which was great.
