Assassin rifle? What? To the Wook!
I can't find anything; but I did find that it was cut content. Oh well.
True; Zaalbar doesn't talk much. But I like the two forward one back play style; two melee (including Revan/Exile), and one non-melee in back. However, on the Star Forge this time, I took Jolee and Juhani, and just left Carth on the ship. What do you think the unused party members do back on the ship, anyway? Play Pazaak? Complain about Bastila? Tinker at the Workbench? Speaking of the workbench, I built the most damaging possible lightsaber today. Stats are:
Damage: 5-24, +1-8 against Dark Siders, +6 Attack.
It's the Solari/Upari crystals, which I like, and the first time I ever used an Upari. Pretty cool thing to find, if you ask me. I can hit for like 55 on a Master Flurry.
So do I. I'll usually only play two or three hands before moving on, but this game, I had such a good deck. All +/- cards, which are really really nice.

Lol. That would be why I never found it.
That's true. It's good to have a shooter in the party.
I'm not sure what they would do. Based on the game, they would stand where they always do, and gain XP points for doing it.
That's a powerful lightsaber. I'm going to see if I can make an uber-powerful one for my Sith Lord, to make up for his complete lack of combat feats. But I'll probably end up going with Deflection emitters and the like to improve his defense.
Yeah. I don't really play in KotOR, but in KotOR II I play whenever I can. I got the "doubler" card from some player on Telos, and it's a lot of fun. So is the Champ's Golden Card, but it basically guarantees victory.

Oh well.
I like the dynamic. That, and the fact that Carth can throw a grenade as Revan and Bastila are about to die, and try to take down everything in front before the enemies overwhelm him. Lol. As Revan said, make sacrifices.
Lol. Or they just run back there when the hatch opens, like in Toy Story.
I found that for a Consular, two lightsabers, one long (for high damage) and one short (for deflections and parries) work best - and that's what the character uses them for. You can always switch the layout up if you want to duel, or whatever. I just had such high defense on the robes this time - as well as all the deflection feats - that I just made an all out destroy Dark Siders lightsaber. And it worked fairly well on the Star Forge, which wasn't exactly a walk in the park, but it was doable. By the way, there are sixty enemies - 60 - that attack you on Deck 2 alone, when the apprentices and troopers come after you. The only issue was that Jolee and Juhani were such lightweights compared to Bastila that my whole play style was off - instead of 2 up, one back, I had 3 up - and so I died once or twice, but Revan probably killed 45-50 of those enemies himself, while Jolee was relegated to rear guard and party healer. Lol.
What are these cards you speak of? Cheating?

Lol. That's always fun.
Lol. Yeah. They're off fighting other battles on the planet. That's how they get the XP.
That sounds like a good strategy. I almost always go with one lightsaber for Consulars. I like getting Master Duelist to help my defense. Right now my lightsaber is primed to increase my Force prowess. But considering I'm a level 35 character, with over 900 Force points, I don't really need it, lol. With so many levels, and so many Force powers to choose, I'm actually at the point where I've gotten to Master Revitalize, one of the worst powers in the game. Just because it's cool, and it's either that or Drain Force.
No, they're bonus cards. They're only in KotOR II, I think. The 'doubler' card increases your total by the same amount as the value of the last card you were dealt, and the Champ's Golden Card is basically a +/-1 card, but if you play that card, you win all ties in that set.

It actually accomplishes the objective, more often than not. And since Bastila is essentially a free never ending supply of medpacs (with Force Heal), I don't worry about it. LOL. True. Like during the invasion of Iziz. Wow. You're going to run out of FP's pretty quick. What have you been doing - and where do you find all that XP? Paazak? I had Master Duelist and Master Lightsaber Proficiency (whatever the name of the feat is), as well as Master Flurry, so I was about as good with a single blade as you can be in KotOR. But double blades screwed me - they actually impose penalties, which I suppose makes sense, considering you can attack twice. I think I had the doubler, it sounds familiar. I never found the Champ's Golden Card...but that is cheating. I'm a paazak purist. I won like thirty games this time through KotOR, made like 5000 credits.

Lol. I haven't used a single Medpac in KotOR II. Force Heal just does it better. I sell almost all my Medpacs. Yeah. That was actually a pretty epic battle...for KotOR, that is. Lol. I've tried and tried to run out of FP, but with all my boosts, I just can't. I can't even get near half. And that's with Force Potency in effect (it increases FP cost by 20%, I think), and Dark Mastery, using Light-sided Force powers. I think Master Revitalize is one of the highest-costing ones, and my FP regenerates too fast, and I have too many Force points. Also, my VP regenerates really quickly too. I have Regeneration 6. Yeah, it pretty much is. But that's what you get for being champ. Winning only gets easier

I needed Medpacs on Taris (obviously) until I got Bastila. Then, I only used them in combat when my FP was gone and my healers were down. Lol. Or when I was fighting Malak. It was massive, but nowhere near as chaotic as Battlefront. It's hilarious how ordered the battles are in KotOR - even the invasion of the Telos Habitat Station was nice and clean. Regen 6? An implant, or what?

Yeah, that's true. Medpacs are a hot commodity on Taris. Especially if you fight in the arena duels. That can leave you drained of health easily.
Yeah.
Lol. No, I had the Biorestorative Underlay Mark V or whatever they're called, which gives you +3 Con and +3 Regen, and I have the Kaiburr Crystal in my lightsaber, which gives Regen 3 and a Con and Wis boost. With the Regen, and my powerful lightsaber (and Master Flurry, which I learned because it gave me something to do other than Force powers), I can out-duel almost any character, except the big bosses like Sion or Kreia. The only generic that got close to killing me in a duel was a couple of Sith Marauders.
Lol.

Right. I had the misfortune to do that this time - but there are free healers on Taris, too. The guy at the Medical Center in the Upper City, as well as the woman in the Undercity, both essentially cast Force Heal, as it clears you of your poison, as well as restoring all of your health.
Ah. Did you have to make that at a Workbench/Lab Station? I find that the best components can be made, rather than found, except in rare cases. Apparently, the Solari Crystal can be found aboard the Ravager, as well as some other highly powerful non-melee weapons. It's kinda fun to look up the item locations (though they aren't exact), to find out what areas they spawn in. However, KotOR's item locations are definitely not random - I found a purple crystal in the same place as I did last time, and I remembered what it was before I opened the rubble. Either that, or it was just Force sensitivity, but I'm more inclined to believe I just have a good memory.

Yeah, that's true. I don't think I used those once. Probably should have. But the game can get a lot more interesting when you're running around at half health and dying is actually a possibility. Unlike KotOR II. I haven't lost my entire party in that game, except once I lost the Handmaiden in that one-on-one fight she has with Atris.
Yeah, I made the underlay. My Treat Injury score is over 50, so I can make anything related to that feat. The Kaiburr crystal was found on (I believe) the Sith Master's remains on Dxun.
Lol.

I die all the time in KotOR, lol. Revan can't take much punishment - my level 20 Jedi Guardian/Scoundrel had the exact same HP as an earlier level 16 Soldier/Guardian from when I played through the first time. And Bastila goes down fast when Revan's not absorbing attacks - then Carth gets to play the run-away-and-shoot-frantically-while-using-dozens-of-medpacks-in-a-desperate-attempt-not-to-die game with the remaining enemies. It works fairly well...usually. I actually had the most troubles with the Sand People on Tatooine, oddly enough. It was my second planet, though, so my character wasn't all that powerful.
Really? Huh. I didn't know the Kaiburr crystal appeared in KotOR II. Fascinating, that's even more well known than the Solari. Did you ever find the Heart of the Guardian or the Mantle of the Force? They might be mod content only (like from the deleted planet, or something), but there are apparently pictures of them. Heart makes a deep blue blade, almost indigo, and Mantle makes an orange-ish blade that's different from either bronze or orange.
Again, where do you get all that XP? I usually finish with my Exile at about level 23, or so, but it sounds like you have a much higher level character than that.

Lol. KotOR is pretty tough. I'll die usually a few times throughout the adventure, but I don't think I died at all last time. Some fights I have to cheat with, using mines and the like, running all over the place. It works well when they have lightsabers...but blasters can be a problem. The worst part is when one of your characters gets stunned.
Yeah, this is the first time I've found it. I think the remains for a lot of characters are random. It's a really powerful crystal, so much so that I used it instead of the Qixoni crystal.
I never found those. I have the KotOR PC guide, and it mentions those items as purchaseable on Yavin Station, which isn't in the Xbox version (the one I play). Those items are, supposedly, the most powerful in the game.
Lol. In the secret tomb on Korriban, there's an unlimited XP glitch. There's a room, near the end of the tomb, with a corpse labelled "Dead Jedi" or something like that. If you open it repeatedly, Hssiss will appear in the room, for each time you open the container. So, if you use Force Storm or Death Field or something like that, you can slay dozens of Hssiss, granting 400 XP each, and do so repeatedly. This is the first time I've tried out this glitch in KotOR II. Usually, my Exile will finish up around level 22-24 (depending on how many sidequests I decide to do), but this time my Exile finished the game at level 37.

Lol, the stunning sucks. I'm going to have to improve Intelligence next time through.
Really? What are the effects?
Yeah, from what I understand.
Lol. You leveled up fifteen times in that tomb? That's insane. Are there any tricks, like keep other Hssiss alive before reopening the corpse? Or can you open, kill one, open, kill one, repeat?

Yeah. It can almost guarantee death if you only have one party member, too.
According to the KotOR II Game Guide (which can be slightly inaccurate because it was released before the game was), says that the Kaiburr crystal provides +3 Wis, +3 Con, Regeneration +3. I seem to recall those being the effects. It fits a Consular much better than the Qixoni does.
Yeah, I levelled up a lot. I didn't use any tricks, other than open the corpse until the Hssiss became violent (which is usually after about 10-12 opens), and then kill them all. The game might crash if you use Force Storm or Death Field when there are so many targets, but you shouldn't have a problem if you attack them individually. This can be done an infinite amount of times. Does KotOR II have a level cap? Maybe at like 50, or 99.

Basically, especially against lightsaber wielding opponents.
Yeah, I suppose. The Kaiburr crystal, according to SW backstory, was supposed to boost Force effects, and it was in an early draft in ANH - it was the reason Vader wanted to find Luke. In canon material, Luke actually finds the Kaiburr crystal in Splinter of the Mind's Eye, and fights Vader in a lightsaber duel while holding the Kaiburr crystal. The crystal boosted his abilities so much that he actually defeated Vader, and cut off most of his right arm. It's interesting that it even made it into the KotOR games...
I wouldn't know. I never got that high, lol. But KotOR has a 99 computer spike cap, which is interesting.
