That's true. WotC did an excellent job at attracting new customers...but they did not do a good job at keeping the loyal customers satisfied. Ultimately, their strategy didn't work for them.

Or perhaps they weren't ever interested in renewing the liscense at all, and just wanted to get all the customers they could before moving on to Allies and Axis, or something.
The SWM page is completely gone over at Wizards.

That's possible, and it may be the most likely answer. They seem more preoccupied with their own games than with Star Wars.
Yeah, I noticed. It hurts me the most now that the database is gone, even though it wasn't the best resource.

Yeah, I thought so, too. It's annoying that we never got any support.
I used it a lot, for definitions.

Yeah. The game clearly has the fan base to warrant such attention.
Yeah. I used it a lot for comparing characters who have, for instance, any level of Force Repulse, or who have a lightsaber special ability or Force power.

I know, and that's why WotC's move was so unfathomable. Very bizzarre.
Right. The Unleashed FPs were brutal to define.

Yeah. We may never know everything about their move and why they made it, but from our position it is truly bizarre.
Yeah. Some abilities (like Cunning Attack) are memorized fairly quickly, but the unleashed Force powers were like a short story compared to other abilities.

And at this point, there's still no news of another company renewing the license?
Lol. Or Master Planner, from Bane, DLotS...

No, not really. There's always some murmur and occasionally a rumor or two, but nothing really comes out of it.
Lol. That ability was epic. I wonder what the longest ability in the game is, in terms of characters. Off the top of my head, Light Spirit strikes me as very lenthy. Since it effectively contradicts the most basic rules of the game, it needed to be lengthy.

Unfortunately. But that means that the price for minis just went down, as people are selling their stuff.
Incorporeal, perhaps. That was a friggin mess.

Yeah, it does. Of course, it means the Mouse Droids will never be reprinted...can never have enough of those things (I only have three).
That too. Frozen in Carbonite is up there too.

I don't even have one. Lol. Now that piece broke a lot of rules.
Yeah, I suppose. Lol. Now I'm curious about the longest definition.

Lol. Love the Mouse Droid.
Desert Skiff is up there too. That, and Light Spirit and Frozen in Carbonite are pretty close, based on BlooMilk's glossary.

Technically, shouldn't the name be "Mouse Droids...?"
Oh, right. Some of the laser cannons, like on the AT-AT, are up there too.

LOL. Yes, it should.
Yeah. Heavy Laser Cannons is up there, but Medium Blasters only takes like one line, lol.
