Ok then, no damage booster. I've just always "looked down" on pieces in this range who can't deal more than 40 damage in a turn (unless they have some other gimmick) without resorting to force points (which won't always be there). That's a fair opinion, but the majortity of characters in the 45-55 range have any sort of damage booster. There are almost 4 dozen Force-users in this price range. 3 have LS Precision, 5 have Sith Rage. I think a smaller number than that have any sort of "dedicated" (non-Force) damage booster. Thumbs up here.

Did you mean most don't have a damage booster? Oh, one last thing. Did we mean for him to have Force Lightning, or is Sith Lightning intentional? Ok then, let's get some more confirmations and then we can finally lock down this thread. Good work, again! Jerec - 51 pts Faction: Imperial HP: 120 Def: 20 Att: 14 Dmg: 20 -Unique, Melee Attack -Double Attack (On its turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving ) -Doctrine of Fear (Enemy characters within 6 squares get -4 Attack) -Its A Trap (Enemies with Stealth within 6 squares lose Stealth ) Force 2, Force Renewal 1 -Force Absorb (Force 2: Cancel a Force power used by an adjacent character) -Sith Lightning (Force 2, replaces attacks: range 6; 30 damage) -Force Destruction (Force 5, replaces turn: sight; 60 damage to target and 30 damage to each character adjacent to that target) -Sith Hatred (Force 1, usable only on this character's turn: 10 damage to all enemies within 2 squares ) Commander Effect: Each unique alliy with a Force Rating start with +1 force

I assumed Sith Lightning was intentional. He then has 3 very different Force attacks, with different targeting abilities (all enemies within 2 squares vs 1 enemy vs 1 enemy + all adjacent).

Affirmative. It is Sith Lightning, not Force.

Looks good. Just remember to add the "30" after Sith Lightning.

We're looking to finalize Jerec in the next week or two (he may move up and bump Celeste Morne back). We haven't touched him since he was initially finalized, so now is a good time to take another look.
Jerec has a pretty high word count. When paired with his large number of special abilities, that means we may have trouble fitting this all on a card. Thoughts?
In GF's initial concept card, he did, in fact, note that he had some trouble fitting everything. Check out page 5 of the main discussion thread.

First thing I noticed is we still had a full description of Double Attack but GF removed it. I took another look at his Jerec Draft and it looked fine to me ...
Lets not forget to look at the drafts and see if we liked what we saw, card-wise ......

GF's draft, unfortunately, takes away his signature ability (Force Destruction), which people fought long and hard to create/include.
No matter what we end up with, we need to take a look at him vs other Imperial Force users.

We could drop one of the 6-square abilities (Doctrine of Fear and It's A Trap!), and/or one of the direct-damage Force powers (Sith Lightning 30, Sith Hatred, Force Destruction). He has three right now, which is too much. Also, I think we should revisit Force Destruction.

I'd be okay with any of that... but I don't have the same affinity for Jerec that I do for most of the Old Rep-era pieces.
While I want to keep It's a Trap! because he's a Miraluka, but the Imps already have 3 pieces that have it (and access to another 3 via the Fringe).
Doctrine of Fear is a cooler ability for him... but overlaps with Tarkin.
I can see one of the Force attacks going, but I think he should be left with a "replaces attacks" and a "replaces turn," assuming we keep Force Destruction close to the way it is now.

Doctrine of Fear is a much more interesting and less common ability, but fits the character less (in my opinion). We should probably choose to go with one over both. That sounds like a good idea. Of all his FPs, I would be most interested in losing Sith Hatred, because I feel that it fits him the least.

Although it might not fit as well, I like Doctrine over Trap ... If we're losing two, I say goodbye to Hatred; actually if we're only losing one, lets lose Hatred over all the others.
Actually, losing two wouldn't be a bad thing; we Do seem to be really packing everything and the kitchen sink into too many pieces.
