Yeah, and then make 2 or 3 (or 11) versions of them, and then you get on to your non-unique favourites, and it's like "Hey, there aren't that many!!!"

Non-Uniques are way harder to make than Uniques. They don't each have their own special character, so you can't make up Special Abilities as easily.

Yeah. And you have to worry about having like 5 of them plus this commander plus this commander plus etc., where uniques aren't subject to the majority of CEs.

Yeah, especially them. But the majority of CEs (at least earlier ones) only affect non-uniques. Which makes them harder to make. For instance, making a non-unique with 17 def +8 atk, 20 dmg, Double, Twin, Intuition, and Careful Shot +4 would be sketchy, as they can gain Deadeye, Mighty Swing, +3/+3, Accurate Shot...etc., all for pretty cheap costs.

Yeah, not to mention faction constraints. Fringe is probably the hardest faction to make figures for, because you have to think about all the combos in the game.
