Dark Side Rising
"Darker, the coming storm grows. I fear the dark cloud of the Sith shrouds us all."
-Yoda
My first custom set, Dark Side Rising, is a 60 piece set featuring characters from all 10 factions. The set focuses on the key players in Darth Sidious' "game" to destroy the Jedi and gain control of the galaxy. As such, most of the pieces in this set are from the Sith, Separatist, Empire, and Fringe factions. The set is also very heavy on unique characters, most being either Sith Lords or Jedi Knights. Here are some statistics that I've decided to post related to Dark Side Rising, including what an average character's base stats would be like (rounded):
Average Cost: 45 Average Hit Points: 100 Average Defense: 18 Average Attack: +9 Average Damage: 20
Character Count By Faction:
Fringe: 9 total Old Republic: 5 total Sith: 14 total Mandalorian: 4 total Republic: 5 total Separatist: 9 total Imperial: 8 total Rebel: 4 total New Republic: 1 total Yuuzhan Vong: 1 total
Uniques/Non-Uniques:
Unique: 45 total Non-Unique: 15 total
Melee/Nonmelee:
Melee: 39 total Nonmelee: 21 total
Force Users/Non-Force Users:
Force Users: 27 total Non-Force Users: 33 total
Commanders/Non-Commanders:
Commanders: 27 total Non-Commanders: 33 total

Huh. That's an interesting breakdown. I bet the averages took a long time.

Yeah, they did. It was interesting to do, and, IMO, worth it. The Sith actually had relatively low average stats, which I didn't expect.

Yeah. I still don't believe that...I'm going to have to check.

Perhaps I mean low total stats for number of pieces, as that's how I figured it out. Nihilus and Sion would have brought it down a lot.

Oh, I suppose. That makes more sense.

Yeah. I was surprised at how many non-Force users there were.

I probably would be too. Especially for Valor with Honor.

Yeah. All the Jedi Masters, but a lot of troopers and the commandos too.

Yeah, exactly. Uniques vs. Non-Uniques, on the other hand...

Yeah. Lol.
I have found that Sharrakor's sets are a lot more like WotC sets, in terms of the set lists. He even has rarities, something I've wanted to do but can't because having Unique uncommons would be too weird.

Yeah, Sharrakor does a good job with his sets. Rarities are also something I've considered doing, but I figured it's just another thing to put on the figure, and if I don't get it just right, I don't like it. He has much more loyal break-downs, too, in terms of Non-Uniques to Uniques, Force Users to non-Force Users, and Commanders to followers. But then again, he has 12 sets to spread the Unique wealth over. I have two.

Yeah. Sharrakor does a really good job with the inner workings of his sets and with non-uniques. His uniques are pretty good too, but his non-uniques are very nice. He does have a lot of sets, I can't imagine myself making more than 6.

Do you have plans for the other two?

Absolutley nothing, but if I do make sets after Vader's Fist, I don't think I could make more than two more.
