Idk. Are they? I really hope so, or they drop Mettle, MotF 2, and the CE to non-unique or +3/+3 or something. And up the cost to about 58.

Lol. Yeah, I still can't believe how badly they did with him. Has a piece ever been banned before? I don't think it's happened yet, but this could be the first. I think they will have some errata for him, though. I mean, look at how similar GM Yoda is (especially in the CE), and one would think they would ban him. We'll have to wait and see...

SEVERE misjudgement. They knew what they were doing when they put Soresu Mastery on him, as well as Mettle, MotF 2, and the most insane CE in the game. All for only 55 points. I think he could probably be more like uhh...78-84. Obi should never be remotely near that powerful. The idea of the piece is good (Soresu attacks, nice CE), but they went overboard with him. Badly.
And yeah, Yoda is really nice. I'm only disappointed that he has no MotF. But, you can't have everything (unless your GOWK).

Yeah. Let's compare him to Exar Kun:
GOWK has
+60 HP (more, if you factor in Mettle/MotF 2)
-1 def
-5 atk
lesser, but still nice, Force powers
insanely better CE (I never thought it was possible)
better faction support
HUGE synergy between Soresu Mastery/Mettle/FR1/MotF2
All that said and done I think Obi would cost about...ehh...84.

Lol. That's what I meant. With Soresu Mastery he effectively has 240 HP (against attacks, at least). Combine Mettle, FR and MotF with that and he effectively evades most attacks. So its figuratively speaking, and if your squad has no Flamethrowers or Lightning, your screwed.
Lol. GOWK with 240 HP would have broken the game beyond repair, even is his costs was doubled. Lol.
