Hello, I'm just starting out on the forum and I want to ask about an idea that I've come up with. There is some generality about the Star Wars Miniatures game that annoys me. Even when setting up the most meticulously realistic games according to the timeline, I find myself using a squad of Obi Wan's 212th squad against the Emperor with the 501st at his side. I would rewrite the rules using more specific factions, more realistic rules, and while there would still be all the fun that comes from battling the old republic as the empire, people wouldn't be able to use the rules to create unrealistic scenarios when you're looking for realistic ones. Also I would expand the rules text to include a wider timeline, more characters, and a lot more Starship Battles possibilities. I am completely open to suggestions on whether this is a hood idea and what the specifics should include.

I guess to start with I would make 3 new mini sets. One would have lots of reprints with slightly different abilities and put some characters in the new factions. The next would have more characters for all the minor factions I would create and would probably only have 20 characters. The third would be more difficult, and it would be a remake of starship battles with actual factions instead of light or dark. Little unsure about this because it would be kind of counter productive, using even less factions than SWminis already has, but it would still be productive because it would add more stuff to Seps, Reps, and would include Fringe, Old Rep, Sith, and even Yuuzhann Vong ships.
