Thought you might like to see this. Some detail shots, especially on the crisp knurling and on the emitter grooves. And with a Luke ANH for scaling. I picked this up a while ago, thinking it was a pretty decent model of the Dooku lightsaber, and it had that tooth out front. After I saw some photos floating around of similar pieces, I did some research on my saber, and I found some interesting facts. Based on --The floating tooth - that is, a different piece of metal, rather than resin --Matching black resin casts --Crisp detail --Similar damage to top of emitter I discovered, or at least I believe, that the piece in my possession is in fact one of the two following items: --A First-Generation Stunt casting (one cast directly off of a stunt prop) And/Or --A Second-Generation Hero casting. Since some stunts are cast off of Hero(e)s anyway, this could be a cast of a stunt cast from a Hero. Alternatively, it could be a cast of a different sculpt stunt saber - but either way, this is at most two generations, and probably less, from a screen used Dooku lightsaber from either AOTC or ROTS, though I'd believe AOTC, as fewer pieces were minted for ROTS. So, what do you think? There's no way I'm touching this particular piece, but I may cast it myself and make a working FX lightsaber out of the third-generation cast. Do you think there's room? I think it's a pretty cool piece, myself.
