Yeah, they don't seem to do a lot of thinking. What we see of Maul is interesting because he doesn't seem to think for himself for an instance after becoming Sidious' apprentice. Maul didn't really need to think, because he had Sidious to do that for him (that's probably why he forgot about Qui-Gon's lightsaber...). But Bane had to think more, not at the levels of Revan or anything, but he had to move up from a trooper to the single most powerful being in the galaxy. Even though most of that involved bashing others' faces in.
He does have a nice sculpt. Very clean. I would love to see a re-do of him, with identical abilities and Force powers, but a couple more defense and less attack, and Soresu Style. Maybe a cost of 40.

That's a good point. Maul is a mildly interesting character in the way that he completely gives himself over to Palpatine, which is astonishing, considering the usual nature of the Sith.
Do you think Bane was the Sith'ari? I always thought KotOR implied Revan was the Sith'ari, but Wookiepedia says Bane is. That doesn't really strike me as fitting. I once saw a Bane miniature on WotC's website that went like this:
Darth Bane, Dark Lord of the Sith Cost: 79 Hit Points: 130 Defense: 21 Attack: +15 Damage: 30
Special Abilities Unique Melee Attack, Triple Attack Master Planner: (Usable only on this character's first activation of the game. This character must use this ability when it can. Replaces turn: All allied characters are removed from the grid, and are counted as defeated. This character is removed from the battle grid and is counted as defeated. Your opponent wins the skirmish, for all intents and purposes. Perhaps, in a thousand years, one of your descendants might beat one of your opponent's descendants at Star Wars Miniatures, but for now, you lose.)
Yeah, exactly. We should update some of those older pieces. Lol. RS suggested something like that...

LOL. Wow that is amazing. So accurate too... I don't see how Bane is the Sith'ari either. Well I do, and it makes perfect sense, but with the 'new' defintion for a Sith'ari, I don't see how it's a very reptuable title.
Reading the Wookieepedia article is just confusing. It states that the Sith'ari is the perfect being, the perfect Sith...but then, it says that they (basically) kill all their allies and somehow make them stronger by doing that. Then someone down the road actually does something and takes over the galaxy. And somehow the guy who decided to kill everyone (that is part of the Sith way, but it is still counter-productive to their main goal - killing all Jedi - in the short term...and Sith aren't known for their patience) and then hide (definitely NOT the Sith way...it's like a peace-loving Mandalorian (oh wait we have that too now...)) gets all the credit for destroying the Jedi, when it was Sidious who did all the work.

What "new" definition?
Lol. I always thought it was implied ingame that either Revan or Vader was the Sith'ari. They both have a case for the role - the whole "Revan never fell" theory, or my theory about Vader's actions on Death Star II back up both counts...but Bane is about as far away from the role as possible. Ugh. He's far too one-dimensional.

I don't think the definition is new, but it's new to me, because I didn't know what it truly was before (the killing your friends and making them stronger by it part).
I prefer your theories to simply Bane's path. Your theories make a lot more sense and are a lot deeper, and they seem to "come full circle" in a way, while Bane would be more like a straight line.

Ah, ok.
I like to think Revan and Vader are more interesting than Bane. Hence my theories. Lol.

Yeah, I agree that Revan and Vader are more interesting than Bane. It may be because Bane is pure evil, while neither Revan nor Vader were.

Perhaps. Do we know how Bane dies?

We do, and it's very interesting. I won't spoil any of it for you; it does make for a good read.

Huh, ok. Is there another book after Rule of Two?

I believe Dynasty of Evil is the one after Rule of Two, but I'm not entirely sure.

That's right. I forgot about that. I was waiting until it came out in paperback, and I haven't seen it.

From the Wook: "The paperback is set to be released on September 28, 2010.[3]" So three months.
