And another to keep us occupied. This is likely to be called the annoyance piece of the set. And it is.
Ewok on Speeder Bike Cost: 15 Faction: Fringe Hit Points: 30 Defense: 17 Attack: 1 Damage: 20
Special Abilities Diversion (Enemy characters within 12 squares and line of sight may not move into a square farther from this character during their turn, save 11) Draw Fire (If an enemy targets an ally within 6 squares of this character, you may force that enemy to target this character instead if it can; save 11) Evade (When hit by a non-melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11) Flight (Ignores difficult terrain, enemy characters, low objects and pits when moving) Speed 12

Lol. Annoying it would be. I think it should cost more, because it can get Mobile Attack from Riekkan and then become an excellent Mas/other commander hunter. I'd say 15. You might want to give it a lower attack too, like +1, because it didn't look like the Ewok knew how to pilot the bike, let alone fire it effectively.
Also, I think the commander effect should be a special ability. And I'm confused as to how it would work. Would it mean, that if I have LoS to it, I can't move so I can't see it? Or that I can't move further away?

Basically, if an enemy character can see the EOS, he/she cannot move away from it. Its designed to be a distraction piece. I forgot that Rieekan grants Mobile and Evade to Allies (which was why I gave the EOS a CE). However, it does limit the piece from gaining those SA's due to Gen. Wedge's CE.

By move away, do you mean they cannot move farther away from the character? Or out of LoS? Either way, I think it should be an SA, because I can't think of any WotC CEs that affect ONLY enemies, especially with a save involve. Although it does limit the commanders it has synergy with, I don't think Mobile is as much of a problem if he's only got a +1 attack. The Dark Hellion on Swoop is similar and can gain Mobile from such a piece.

How about a change to something like this:
Diversion (While enemy characters have line of sight on this character, they may not move into a square farther from this character during their turn, save 11)

That's probably too limiting. It could slow down gameplay too, because you have to count squares and such, compared to using an elastic band or laser pointer to find LoS. I think changing it to LoS would be best, and with that change you could take out the save too, just making it static. This would be a really interesting counter to swap squads.

So if you get LOS to him, you have to remain in LOS to him? That would also be severely limiting. Maybe think along the lines of the Mercenary ability. If an enemy can attack him, they can't move that turn. This would also present an interesting strategic element to the piece. You can make an enemy waste attacks on him, but possibly at the expense of the piece.

My vision for the ability, and I admit that the wording may be ambiguous or confusing, is to prevent enemies from movie away from this piece.
Example: Enemy Gran Raider (GR for short) has LOS on EoSB due to the EoSB's movement during its turn. During the GR's turn, since he has LOS on EoSB, he can not move farther away from EoSB if he fails his save 11. However, if while moving laterally, or towards the EoSB, it occurs that the GR loses LOS, he is no longer restricted in his movement. Otherwise, the GR must either opt to not move, or move towards the EoSB during his movement.
This ability, combined with Draw Fire, is designed to represent the distracting nature of the Ewok's joyride during Ep. VI. The Empire's attention (at least the local attention) was drawn to the furball's antics and thus away from the Rebels. I included the save so that the SA wouldn't be overly powerful and allow characters with FP's to reroll.
bh9, you make a solid point about the slowing of gameplay due to counting squares and such, though there is already much of that going on in the game.

Or something like this:
Diversion (Enemy characters within 12 squares and line of sight may not move into a square farther from this character during their turn, save 11)
At least this prevents board-wide foolishness and first round frustrations.

I had a huge post ready here, and then my Internet wouldn't display the page. So I guess you'll get a summarized version. I bet you're sad Although, that new version does make a lot more sense. My main issue with the ability was all the square counting involved, because you would HAVE to count the squares at the beginning of each enemy's turn, and then count squares from where they want to move to. The 12 square limit would stop some of this, if the enemy is clearly out of the range limit, there would be no counting necessary.

Diversion (Enemies within Line of Sight of this character may not move out of Line of Sight of this character during their turn)
Is this what you had in mind?

Yeah, that's what I suggested earlier.

That new definition is much easier to understand. Perhaps a save should also be included, otherwise it might be a bit too powerful for 15 points.

Hmm. I think this will require some playtesting. It's hard to tell if a save with that definition would be worth it. It would be best to keep the saves to a minimum, but it may be necessary to include it.

I like this piece put yes it would be incredibly annoying. My dispute is that it should be Rebel not Fringe and it should be unique. I believe that because this only happens once (as far as i know) and it is only for the Rebels also i think wiket get on the bike so it might count as him
