Exactly. I've given some old abilities - Surprise Move, Force Absorb, Force Burst - a renaissance, as it were, in my sets. So have you.

Yeah. Force Absorb is an awesome ability, as is Surprise Move. Force Burst is okay, the one WotC gave us isn't that great unless...nvm. I want to see if I can make a character out of this combination first...it'll be the Mara Jade in HoH.

I had to read that post three times before it made sense. Force Burst was good in the days of ROTS and Universe, but it's since fallen by the wayside. It's useful, but not as useful as some alternatives.

It's good, it just needs to be combined with the right abilities. Which you'll see on my Mara Jade, Jedi Master in History of Hatred.

I usually only post in Stat Creation when I want to redo a piece. My Vader and Revan, Dark Lord, have both been through, and turn out much better on the other side.

Yeah. I haven't posted in Stat Creation since the Fambaa Shield Generator in Dark Side Rising. But I might post Mara because of the fact that she shoudln't be eclipsed my Mara Jade, Jedi.

Yeah. Maybe even more so. I mean, she can take on almost any single character in the game, except for maybe Boba BH, and win. Any melee character has almost no chance against her. Really the only thing that makes Lord Vader so unfairly good is IE Thrawn, but Mara doesn't really need anybody.

Lol. She's one of those rare characters that's costed very low yet is still not broken, which is very interesting. Boba BH and Captain Rex straddle that line, with GOWK on one side and pieces like MJJ, Kol Skywalker, Gens Wedge and Riekkan, Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler, etc, on the other side. MJJ is probably one of the few old yet still exceptional pieces that just very, very good.

Vader, JH used to be that way, too - the best choice for any Imperial squad. But now, there are so many...and yet, Imperials aren't the Tier 1 faction they used to be.

Yeah. Imperials are now usually B&B or super-trooper squads. There are some interesting variations, such as bringing in Order 66ers, or using Palps on Throne, but other than that they're pretty linear these days.
