Warrior of Kashyyyk Cost: 21 HP: 60 Def: 14 Atk: +7 Dmg: 20 Special Attacks Wookiee Melee attack Advantageous attack (+10 Damage against an enemy who has not activated this round) Momentum (If this character has moved this turn, it gets +4 Attack and +10 Damage against adjacent enemies) Charging Assault +10 (Replaces turn: Can move up to double speed, then make an attack at +10 Damage against an adjacent enemy)
The great defenders of the Wookiee homeworld. These are not the wookiee troops that foguht with the republics, but instead the valiant defenders who fought the brotherhood of darkness, fought with Freyyr, and have done all they can to protect the world they love.
I desinged them in mind of militia type troops. Not very armored (low defense), and simple weapons (low attack), but their passion makes them dangerous (the key racial abilities of the wookiees coupled with the hunter mentality)
If wookiees had existed during the revolutionary war, these would have been our irregualr troops, while the WEW would be the standing army.

Also known as....Wookie!
Melee Reach 2 would be in order, I think.

I thought about MR 2, but I didnt want him to overshadow the WEW, which has many similar abilities, but has the advantage of reach.

I like the concept, but would do away with the Momentum/Charging Assault combo. Too close to the WEW.
In the Wookiee Hunter thread, someone suggested Wall-Climber, which I think is interesting for a Wookiee. Could it work here?
It's getting a little away from your original concept, I think, but imagine Wall-Climber, possibly paired with Stable Footing or Pathfinder, and you've got these really manueverable Wooks. I'm seeing them hopping down from the trees, hanging on ropes, etc!
Another thing to consider: if they're supposed to be using basic weapons, they should probably have 10 damage. 20 damage usually implies a rifle, a heavy blaster (a la Han), or a BIG and/or powered weapon.

Okay, true. And the WEW had a staff on the figure, too.

For a weapon I just imagined him holding a VERY big log. I see your points gwek, however, the options you suggested seemed to fit another wookie I was planning on making. I like the Charging assualt, but maybe momentum could go, and something could go in its place. Perhaps a different combat trick that the OR doesnt have yet?

What's the other one you're working on? I'll try to think of another gimmick, but I kinda like Wall-Climber or Stable Footing combined with Charging Assault.

Just posted it in the fringe section.
Let me know what you think, and see if that sparks ideas for this guy!

I saw the other guy.
I guess the question here is this: the Old Rep already has two solid Wookiee peices. One is better at closing and doing damage, the other is better at doing damage standing next to a target. Both have Reach.
What role is THIS Wookiee supposed to fill?

The gap between those two
However, as I think about it, maybe they should be fringe, giving the fringe a powerful wookiee fighter figure.

So... Is this piece on hold for now?

I think once we figure out the faction the Shadowlands Stalker is going into, we can then deal with this one effectively.
Once that one has its niche, I can accurately decide how best to change this one without overshadowing others.

Okay. We'll take a look at this a little later.

Although sorta on hold, I'm bumping this over the locked threads so it doesn't get forgotten.

Good idea. I should probably just bump everything over those four.
