Well, Revan is canonically light side, so fighting him is no reason to consider them Fringe... and both the Sith and Rebels have a piece with Savage already, so based on BH's reasoning, I don't see any reason it couldn't be Sith.

If we made these guys fringe, then by extension, all ancient sith beasts made before and after this one would have to be fringe.
I thin the faction is fine-Sith beasts should be in the faction that made them. Mindless beasts (boma, shyrack, etc) are fringe because they are no better than common animals. The Terentatek however was a cunning genetically engineered preadator that served sith masters in times forgotten.
But I really do like the piece itself, very monstrous like in the games.

Okay, it'll stay Sith, then.

Thanks for all of the positive comments. No more suggested changes?

Are the stats in the initial post the most current stats? Pretty good overall, but it suffers from a little "card clutter," I think.
Obviously, all Savage creatures have Savage and Melee Attack as special abilities. Beyond that, the ones created by WotC have between 1 and 4 other abilities, with an average of about 2.4.
If the stats in the first post are the current ones, this guy has FIVE (which is more than twice the average, and one more than the current "champion").
Not necessarily a deal-breaker, but definitely something to consider. If this were a "real" piece, it would probably be a little more streamlined.

I think the stats in the original post are the current ones.
What do you suggest? Give him base 30 damage and remove Poison +10? Or give him a point of two of Defense and drop Lightsaber Resistance?

I think either--or both!--of those changes would work. Raising the base damage will increase his cost fairly significantly, and the other change should probably increase it by a point or two.
I also kinda like the idea of Force Immunity, but I think you guys discussed and discarded that.

By the way, I would suggest changing the name of Ancient Predator to something more generic, to avoid the "It's a Trap!" problem if someone wants to use it on another character who is not, y'know, an ancient predator.
Actually, now that I think about it, should he really even have Ancient Predator? Sure, Stealth doesn't work on HIM, but Ancient Predator actually shuts it down in a zone around him, which means that ALLIES benefit from the beast's heightened senses... Is that really accurate?

Where would the cost be if he had 30 damage and +1 or +2 Defense, and no Poison +10 or Lightsaber Resistance?
Although I thought of giving him Force Immunity, as Jm pointed out, it wasn't completely immune to Force powers. I think it was immune or resilient to some of them, but wasn't completely resistant to all or most of them. Also, I thought it was already a pretty good Jedi killer.
I could take off Ancient Predator, as you make sense. Anyone else think so?

Upping defense to 19 and damage to 30, and dropping Poison, Lightsaber Resistance, AND Ancient Predator, my generator puts it at 32, but I think that's a little low (especially when you compare him to other Savage).
I'd say with the changed indicated, maybe 35 or so (which is actually lower than what you had, but also has Ancient Predator cut).

Huh.
With some very minor exceptions (1 point of Defense, Force Immunity, and the cost), this wound up being pretty much the same as the piece from the faux Jedi Civil War set (which isn't a bad thing, but kinda interesting).

Huh. That's an interesting fact, and it seems that our design philosophies for the site as a whole aren't completely overboard. It's pretty cool, actually.

That is quite interesting. I know the set was an April Fool's joke, but is the cost off (on this fig)? I don't know about you, but to me it seems that the other one is more powerful (if only by a bit), but the cost difference is 9 points. Maybe we should put Lightsaber Resistance back on (and keep it's current Defense) to change it up a bit.
What do you guys think?
