Xamar
Cost: 25
Rarity: Rare
Faction: Old Republic
Hit Points: 70
Defense: 20
Attack: 10
Damage: 20
Unique; Melee Attack
Cunning Attack (+4 Attack and +10 Damage against an enemy who has not activated this round)
Stealth (If this character has cover, she does not count as the nearest enemy for an attacker farther than 6 squares when choosing targets)
Force 4
Force Alter (Force 1: range 6; any 1 enemy rerolls its last attack)
Lightsaber Defense (Force 1: When hit by an attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
Surprise Move (Force 1; Once per round, after initiative is determined, this character can immediately move up to his Speed before any other character activates)
Design Notes
Another of the Covenant seers from the KotOR comic. We see very little of Xamar in action, but we do know that he has military training, he sneaks away from Saul Karath's troops, and he manages to get the drop on Zayne and Gryph.
Since the Old Republic has a good selection of Jedi priced in the 40s, I wanted to make Xamar a little cheaper, and sort of went with the idea of "get the drop on the other guy," which lead to the combo of Stealth and Surprise Move, backed up by Cunning Attack.
To increase his effectiveness, I also gave him "generic" Force powers, Force Alter and Lightsaber Defense. In some ways, Xamar sort of straddles the line between Sentinel and Consular, giving him a somewhat unique niche in the faction.
His damage output is a bit limited, and he's never going to be able to take on major opponents, but I think he serves as solid back-up for a "bigger" piece (like Lucien or Nomi), and his combination of abilities allow him to act as a "finisher" against a powerful opponent who has already been wounded, or a scrub in need of elimination.
