RMSU Surgeon
Cost: 9 HP: 20 Def: 14 Atk: 0 Dmg: 0
Special Abilities
Emergency Life Support Heal 10 Clone Trooper Surgery (Replaces attacks: Touch; characters in your squad containing the name Clone are restored to their full Hit Points)
I liked the Medstar books and thought a real surgeon was needed, as opposed to a medic ... if you can hide him away, he may actually save a few clones before he's picked off ...

I posted stats for a character like this on the old site, but obviously they got lost. I think I used an ability something like:
Surgery 40 (Replaces turn; touch; remove 40 damage from target with a save of 8. If save is unsuccessful, remove 20 damage from target instead)
As for your surgery ability, there aren't many clones with more than 10 or 20 hp, in other words, not many clones that wont get killed in one hit

There are a lot of clones who don't have clone in their name.
Maybe "characters with Order 66 without Mounted Weapon"? The Training Sgt (not a clone) would still benefit, but I think he's the only real exception.

Rather in keeping with the forward positioned RMSU units near the front lines.

How about giving Clone Troopers Avoid Defeat? On a 10 HP piece, that means that 50% of damage is ignored...

Avoid defeat instaed of Emergency Life Support? Of course, with the new Bacta Tank, this kinda renders this guy obsolete

D'oh! I forgot about Emergency Life Support!
As with the Chandra-Fan Tech and the Mouse Droid, I can see where the Bacta Tank sort of changes the focus on this character, but doesn't necessarily REPLACE it.

Yes, the new sets this year (with several down the road too) may change ideas ... we may all wind up rethinking some pieces ....

Agreed. Heck, my Virtual KotOR set is based in part on the idea that our original VKotOR was before WotC's "real" KotOR!

Clone Trooper Surgery is certainly a help - but does the already burgeoning Republic need an ability like that?

The Republic doesn't really have any good clones. There are a few, but in general I can't think of any game breakers that would benefit from Clone Trooper Surgery. If you go Order 66, remember that the already vicious Captain Rex will benefit from it.
