I just read this thread on: support.proboards.com/index.c...=288696&page=1I don't know how much help I can be. I created a special email address when I registered site, and I think I deleted it a while back. If I remember correctly, I told them my real name was "Master Yoda" and gave an incorrect age. So if they require this information to bring the site back, I don't know if I could help. To make things perfectly clear, I did not delete the site. According to the thread it must have been one of the people who knew the password to the admin account or someone who knew the person with the admin account.. I don't know the new admin account in the first place. Sorry I didn't contact anyone sooner. When I noticed the site was down, I check wizard's board and I couldn't find any threads about it up. I just found the thread "what happened to the swm database" today. The last I was on wizard's board was a long time ago, about the same time I retired from the star wars miniatures database.

Yoda,
First of all, we owe you an apology. We were immature to kick you out of your own site (having created one myself, I can see it's not a whole lot of fun), and, in doing so, lost the member who probably had the most stock in the site. I, for one, am sorry for doing anything to make you feel unwelcome in your own site.
However, let bygones be bygones. We'd like you back - it's not cool to be unwelcoming, and it'd certainly be good to have another committed member here. So the old site's gone. So what? It seems that we've done a passable job on getting the site back up and running. The KOTOR Set II took the biggest hit, and while we lost all of our miniatures in Stat Creation and about the last month of finalized miniatures, but we managed (due to a member's foresight) to recover roughly 900 finalized miniatures, which is around where we stand today.
Now, Yoda, let us know what you think. Feel free to set up an account - it'll be good to have you around again.

Hey Yoda! Are you going to be making an account and sticking around, or are you just dropping by?

Hang on, we kicked him out? IIRC, it was he who left because nobody felt like making an entire new site for the Database (an HTML site, and all that jazz [which included paying for a host]). Although I do remember everyone (or almost everyone) being angry with him for failing to come up with the prizes for the contest, which led to our site being discredited. Didn't help with the incident with Myname, but I guess that wasn't MYoda's fault.

Sharrakor's right. I wasn't kicked.
I wanted to change the direction. I got a little frustrated after I opened up several threads to try to come up with a new idea to move the site forward. These threads received few to none responses. A couple afterwards, I thought it might be a nice idea to create some kind of a site like bloomilk.com. However, it would have taken a lot of time and support.
No one took me or my idea seriously (due to the failure of the contest), so I abandoned the idea. Afterwards, I left the site for the third or fourth time.

I create three proboard’s prior to perfecting the format used for this site. The first website was designed much like Gwek’s Virtual Kotor Set, It had a stat creation for the Knights of the Old Republic and a couple other eras. The next one was similar. These two sites failed to gain 1 new member. The third site was almost exactly the same as the format still used today -Except there were no moderators, just me. One person posted on the site. This was when I created that Stat Calculators for melee and range units. I deleted that site, because I made a link to a proboard that was attacked by spammers. When this site was first created (or the original website that this one is modeled directly off of), the site took off after I asked for moderators. Shortly after, the site had SO many stats posted on it that the 8 or so moderators couldn’t keep up. This was the golden age of the site.
The golden age can begin again. But you’ll have to it without me.
When you look at this site, remember that it took me to the forth try to gain more than 1 member. Keep this in mind when you guys move the site into the future. Design the site around the members. Expand and offer want I failed to do. And post links to the site, everywhere. In your signature and on every forum you visit.
I hope I remember for not just my faults, but my successes. This is (probably) goodbye, forever. Thanks for all of the memories.

Oh, the drama! If we can't get the old stuff back, do we need to worry about what happened in the past? Heck with this, I'm just gonna go do stats.
