What are some pieces the Seps could use? Sure, they have great Droid options, but maybe we can do something to make non-Droids a little more viable?

While I want to help the Seps, I think they need help with variety rather than power. There needs to be a reason for someone to want to play something other than Lancer droids!
A few ideas:
Anzati Master Assassin: A decent melee piece on it's own, but the gimmick would be in providing super-Stealth to a subset of living pieces.
Count Dooku, Hologram: Like most holograms, essentially a walking commander effect. The wording needs to be really worked on, but I was thinking of something like:
Allies gain Mettle and start with +1 Force. At the end of this character's turn, selected one Unique ally within 6 squares. That character gains Avoid Defeat until...
Suddenly, all the living folk fighting under Dooku have a Force point and a good reason to re-roll thanks to Mettle. Avoid Defeat, I thought, had a nice feel for a leader who constantly shows favor and disapproval in cycles. And the fact that it works well with Mettle doesn't hurt.
Is it enough to make people want to throw their Lancers away? No, but I think it could be a start.
LEP Droid: This should probably be a Fringe piece rather than a Sep, but I thought of it with respect to the Dooku hologram. This would be a no-attacker piece that would "carry" a hologram character, removing the limitation of needing a Trooper within 2 squres (although if the LEP droid is destroyed and there's no trooper around, bye-bye hologram!).
I think that's too much of a niche for a piece, though, so there should probably be another gimmick, but I'm not sure what yet.
Morgukai Warrior: Because these guys are cool. They use cortosis staves, so one natural idea would be to give them a variation on Cortosis Gauntlet, possibly tied to Parry rather than Deflect (since they're not Force-sensitive). Another option I was thinking about, though, would be something like this:
Cortosis Staff (Adjacent enemies cannot use Force powers whose names include Lightsaber)

Ideas I've toyed with the idea of removing Force Leap and giving him a CE of non-unique Sep allies within 6 gain Cloaked ... My old version of a Morgukai

In a void, I like both of these guys.
I'd rather see the Anzati turned into a commander-type (I loved the plotline where the Anzati "ninja" were instructing the Seps own Morgukai clones) because I think that would be more helpful to the faction.
The Morgukai is pretty kickass... put possibly too much so in the Seps. Pair these guys with Whorm and they can dish out up to 120 points of damage--and that's without adding ANY other commander effects! Way too good for 20 points.

You don't think swapping Leap out for a CE of Cloak approaches the "Ninja" idea from the Comic?
How could we change the pieces to "De-Whorm" them. As you said, I like the pieces but I can see potential mini-abuse ahead ......

You don't think swapping Leap out for a CE of Cloak approaches the "Ninja" idea from the Comic? What I liked about the Anzati in the comic was that they were COMMANDERS. Also, I suspect we may be thinking about things from different perspectives (the value of the piece vs the value of the piece to the faction). A stand-alone Anzati "ninja" is just another living piece that won't be of much value to the Seps. Just another piece to collect dust. A commander who can enhance the playability of various non-Droid Sep and Fringe pieces while also being able to hold his own in a fight? Much more interesting. Still maybe not enough on his own to make a Sep player put away their winning Lancers, but I think it's a step in the right direction. One idea I could see is to replace your Cortosis Staff with my Cortosis Staff (especially since the Morgukai Cortosis staff is no more a "stunning" weapon than the lightsaber).
