Instead of using two negatives (this characters is not immune), why not just say (this character is subject to crits)
As for the pieces, I don't see their point, what do they do?

Why not work something in that cancels special abilities on enemy droids, or something similar?

Hmm that's an interesting take. 20 points seems a lot for 30 HP and 14 defense. Saber1's idea is interesting. Maybe something like:
Droid enemies within 6 squares cannot move and attack in the same turn.
Could counter all those deadly suped-up Sep droids. Of course, it means this character dies fast, which means it probably needs more HP and defense.
