Design Notes:
One one hand, this is a bit of a "filler" piece for the Old Republic. Even for 12 points, the stats aren't that great when compared to other options, so the piece would see play only when you can't afford to fit a better piece into your squad.
On the other hand, however, where the piece differs from the Republic's Jedi Padawan is the Apprentice special ability, which allows this piece to participate in Squad-based special abilities for multiple characters at the same time. This isn't as versatile as Gree's commander effect, but allows the Old Republic some more flexibility with respect to squad building.

I agree. I'd think aboutrenaming "Jedi Apprentice" and give it to the Jedi Master too. That way, there would be more synergy between Master and Apprentice.
