Slyssk Cost: 8 Rarity: Rare Faction: Fringe Hit Points: 30 Defense: 14 Attack: 2 Damage: 10
Unique, Pilot, Trandoshan Door Gimmick (At the end of his turn, this character can designate 1 door that he can see as open; it remains open until the end of this character's next turn, or until he is defeated) Gregarious (+4 Attack if an ally is within 6 squares) Rapport (Gryph costs 1 less when in the same squad as this character) Regeneration 10 (If this character doesn't move on his turn, remove 10 damage from him at the end of that turn)
Design Notes
This isn't a spectacular piece... but then, Slyssk isn't a spectacular character!
I'm kind of looking for the "hook" for him (which I suspect will be cheap, unique Door Gimmick, unless someone can come up with something better).

Well, Wookieepedia says that he wasn't a very good pilot, so I don't think Pilot fits him so much.
The tricky thing here is that his occupation (as a ship thief) doesn't translate well into SWM. Door Gimmick, I guess, is probably the best option to go for.
I was going to suggest Sabotage, but that doesn't work well.
EDIT: Maybe you could base something of one of Marn's quotes about Slyssk not being the best ship thief, but instead being the fastest?

Well, when he's with Gryph, they sound like a comedy team, or the OR versions of Jar Jar. Maybe they should have a version of Bombad something or other ......

Thing is, I thought about whether he should have Pilot or not, and while he's not a good pilot, he still IS a pilot (he's the guy who's usually flying the ship in the comics, anyway...).
I also thought about, and tentatively discarded, Sabotage.
I'd like a little more synergy between him and Grpyh (which gives him a reason to be played), so I'll ponder the Jar Jar reference. I'm open to suggestions!

Any thoughts on Slyssk?

I really have nothing else to add. I can't think of anything that'd make sense on him, and his abilities all seem okay. As for the cost, I'd probably say around 8-10.

Yeah, not every piece is going to be great, I suppose. Although at 8 to 10, he's the cheapest Door Gimmick option, which I suppose gives him a niche.

Well, again, I think he's fine as is.

I'm going to price him at 8, which makes him the cheapest Door Gimmick character in the game. Given that he's not that great on his own, and his stats are pretty lame otherwise, I think that's a decent role for him to fill...
If there are no additional comments, I'll move him to KotOR playtesting with the next batch in a few days.
