Welcome all! This board is specifically for discussions on NLT pieces. Hopefully, through a collaboration of our efforts, we will be able to create fun, balanced, yet competitive custom stats for all 20 pieces. For simplicity, please keep all discussion for each character under one thread. Also, please don't just post the stats you have. Post the stats, how you think they represent the character well, and comment on the other sets of existing stats. Thanks and have fun!

Query: I know this is thinking ahead a lot, but how are we going to release this set once it's done? Will it go on the Holocron like the other one...or what?

Good question. I was thinking of asking Nickname if we could put it up on the Holocron (which would be totally awesome!). Besides that, probably just posting threads on the major forums.

What are we going to do about flavor text? Is that the card-makers' job, or should someone open a thread about it here?

Good question. We might be able to pull quotes off Wookieepedia for some. That stuff will probably go with card art (that will be fun...).

I propose that we look at Zannah again. SSM has been changed to the following (When hit by a non-melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
4. Darth Zannah Cost: 48 Faction: Sith Hit Points: 100 Defense: 19 Attack: 11 Damage: 20
Unique, Melee Attack Twin Attack (Whenever this character attacks, it makes 1 extra attack against the same target) Soresu Style Mastery (When hit by a non-melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11) Stealth (If this character has cover, it does not count as the nearest enemy for an attacker farther than 6 squares when choosing targets)
Force 1, Force Renewal 1 Force Stun (Force 1, usable only on this character's turn: range 6; target living enemy is considered activated this round; save 11) Force Corruption 2 (Force 2, replaces attacks: range 6, non-Droids only; 20 damage, and target is corrupted. Each time the corrupted character activates, it must attempt a save of 11. On a failure, that character takes 20 damage. On a success, that character is no longer corrupted.) Surprise Move (Force 1; Once per round, after initiative is determined, this character can immediately move up to its Speed before any other character activates)

That change only affects DCI play, which won't be in existence after MotF. Problem solved.

Hey, I wanted to take another look at Lord Hoth, but I thought no one would check the Lord Hoth Stat Creation thread, so I'll just post my idea here. Anyways, I was thinking: "Wouldn't it be cool if he had ambush?" I mean, he has charging assault and triple attack. It'd make him VERY strong (perhaps a bit too strong), but I kinda like the idea. So what do you think?

Well, for one thing Charging Assault and Ambush don't work together. It's an interesting idea, but I think what we have is a good representation. Changing anything would require us to re-evaluate the piece again. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I don't know if I ever posted about it, but when we were talking about Charging Assault, I did think about Ambush (although as a substitution, not in addition), but ultimately discarded the idea.
Ambush primarily belongs on Savage pieces, I think (although I believe there's a droid or two with it, as well). Because of it's nature, I think if Ambush as more of a "dark side" thing. As I've said on multiple boards, I think a commander effect granting Ambush and Cloaked to the Sith would revolutionize the faction.

Cloaked might be a bit overkill, maybe on a Darth Maul, Shadow Hunter. Ambush would work really well with the Sith though, good thing they don't have much init control.

Cloaked and Ambush would be sick for the Sith. Cloaked is slightly better than Evade, and Ambush is a bit better than Mobile Attack. That CE on a character that costs about 28-42 would be amazing for the Sith, as long as it affects allies. It could fit on a Darth Revan or Darth Sidious with no combat abilities.

I fiddled with a few variations on Darth Maladi. For example, a special ability called "Assassination Mission" or somethoing that would be similar to the Rodian Trader's abilities, and would give Ambush and Cloaked to an ally with a Force rating.
