No, only as a Sith Lord - otherwise, I've been a Jedi Weapon Master and a Jedi Master. Never a Marauder.

You were a Jedi Master? I can imagine that being difficult (especially on Malachor). Was it hard?
I ask because I'm playing through KotOR II (again) and I don't know what would be the most fun - an unstoppable Sith Marauder (which I've never played as either) or a sneaky Sith Assassin (also haven't played as one). I've been a Jedi Watchman, and I barely used Stealth at all, so I chose Marauder (although I still mgiht change my mind).

I've never been a Watchman or an Assassin. They're too difficult to use properly - it's like the X-Wing in Battlefront II. It's never the best choice...ever. Either take the A-Wing if you want to fight ship-to-ship, or take the Y-Wing if you want to destroy stuff. It's the same with the Prestiege classes. Either take JWM (or Sith Marauder) - for great combat bonuses, especially in Melee, and in order to learn all lightsaber forms, or take the Jedi Master (or Sith Lord) for Force bonuses.
That was all well and good, except that when I became a Jedi Master, I came from the Sentinel, not the Consular class - which was a mistake. The Guardian gets Feat bonuses (lots of Feat points every upgrade level), and the Consular gets Force bonuses, both of which help with their respective classess. However, the Sentinel gains Skill bonuses, which makes for a very versatile character...yet makes for a poor combat character. I knew this as soon as I got to my third planet and had to have some real fights, so when Kreia asked about the upgrade classes, I immediately chose Jedi Master - then I might have had a chance against Traya.
However, I never beat Kreia with my Jedi Master account (named Leia, I swear it was random), so I played through as a Dark-Side Consular - which was amazingly fun. Somebody pisses you off, you vaporize them with your amazing Force Storm - and Force Drain cost like 1 FP. It was great. I got into the fight with Kreia, and I fought her the first time with my saber, but then in the second half, when she pulls out the telekinetic lightsabers, I ignored those, and we got into a Drain battle - and mine was better than hers, which meant I was topping out at maximum health, while Traya was losing health slowly, but surely. I was like, "Bring it on."
So after I won with my Sith Lord, I went back to finish the game with Leia, and I ended up using my saber skills to carry the day.
The moral of the story is this; decide which Prestiege class you want before you start the game, and choose the corresponding Jedi class. That way, it'll be a breeze. As a Jedi Guardian/Weapon Master, the game was super easy. As a Jedi Sentinel/Jedi Master, combat was amazingly tough, yet the game was strangely more rewarding, because I could do all sorts of stuff. As a Jedi Consular/Sith Lord, the game was, once again, super easy, because I was so powerful with my FP's, I could smash through anything, just like with my JWM. For instance, with the Greater Storm Beast, with the JWM I just went up and saber hacked it to death. With the Sith Lord, I drained all it's life before vaporizing it. With my Jedi Master....I had to use mines and run away from it when it got too close.
I can talk from experience that a Marauder/JWM is very, very fun, but not as rewarding. You're literally unstoppable, which sometimes makes the game feel cheap. The Sith Lord/Jedi Master path is more rewarding, and rather more fun, I'd say. The Assassin/Watchman I've never done, but Sentinels are very difficult to use properly, and I'd say the same applies to the respective Prestiege class.

Lol. It is tough to use a Sentinel/Watchman/Assassin. The only good thing (I used blaster pistols instead of lightsabers) is that you can use the workbench to create the best possible upgrade items, so my pistols are doing like 70+ damage each.
I won the game, but because the Sentinel doesn't have a whole lot of feats, I couldn't get a lot of the Precise Shot feats, which help counter blaster deflection. So against Sith, I had to rely on Force Storm (I was PURE light side, so the cost was like double what it usually is) and Force Wave. Against a lot of unarmored opponents (Storm Beasts, for example), my Master Rapid Shot combined with the super-pistols laid waste to them, so I didn't have to use Stealth a whole lot.
Kreia was extremely tough, I had to run away and plant mines like you did. The lightsabers were easier to take down, though.
This is my sixth time playing through the game, and I am a Jedi Guardian/recently Sith Marauder, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I am PURE dark side (I got the Ravager cut-scene with Visas on Telos, when it usually happens on the next planet, when your alignment is strong enough), and all I do is kill everything. I killed Kodin (as I've already told you) because he wouldn't give me the droid for free, I killed the receptionist in the Exchange suites on Citadel Station becuase she sent the guards after me, I killed an Ithorian in one of the apartments on Nar Shadda for absolutely no reason, I killed a guy named Lootra in another apartment because he didn't like me going through his stuff, I killed the Mandalorians who tried to take me into the Mandalorian camp on Dxun, etc. Despite being unstoppable, being so evil can be quite entertaining, however sadistic that sounds.
Is as, as you said, not as rewarding, though. Since I've killed almost everyone, there's not a whole lot of people to talk to, and my companions either scold me for being so evil, or make me laugh like HK.
In general, being a Sith is more fun but less rewarding, while staying true to the light can be tiresome and annoying at times (I have 1950 credits, I need 2000, and if I were dark side, I could just kill Kodin!), but is more rewarding (however short the ending may be).

Lol. I never ever used blasters on either Revan or the Exile. I always concentrated on Vibroblades before I got access to a lightsaber. Then, I always used the Duelist feat - one saber, and it dealt like 48-55 Damage against dark-siders, or light-siders, or whatever. 70+ Damage for blasters is interesting, indeed.
I just used Force Stasis over and over on everything. For instance, in the hidden tomb on Korriban, I used the Force Stasis on those Shyracks, when about thirty attacked you at once, and I came through and just sliced them up. That was fun. But Stasis Field was a nice FP to use - that and Master Force Heal were super convenient.
The first time I played through KotOR 1, I never even knew about HK - never found that shop, never bought him, nothing of the sort. Lol.
You know what I might try? A Jedi Guardian/Jedi Master hybrid. That'd be interesting.

When I concentrate on melee combat, I usually choose to use two lightsabers - one normal length and one short - because you can do more damage. I played through as a single-bladed Jedi with Master Duelist once. It wasn't a whole lot different, it just took longer and I hit often and didn't have to waste my feats on Two-Weapon Fighting.
I forgot about Stasis Field. That is an awesome power. We should make a version for SWM.
That could work. Stasis Field everything, and Heal all the damage you take, then hack 'em up with the saber.
I never knew about HK in KotOR I either, until I bought the game guide. The I learned that you could use him to translate when you go into the Sand People enclave, and avoid a fight all together and learn some stuff from the Sand People. Slicing them up was too much fun, though, and I've never tried it.
That would be interesting. Unlimited Heal and Stasis Field, then slice everyone up with decent saber skills. it's worth a try.

I never used the light-daggers, they were too...odd. Almost non-canon. More damage? Than two long lightsabers? Or just the Master Duelist? The time I played through as a dark-sider, I used twin red sabers, and that was fun - they were both like 40 Damage. My best saber was as a light guardian, and it was blue, and like 48-55 Damage, with +5 Blaster Deflection. I loved that saber, but I could never find the proper crystals again. Remember, the items change every time through, and I just happened to get like the best ones possible. There was the one that was like +8 Damage against dark siders, and then there was one that gained +15 Damage against everything, plus the base saber damage.
Stasis Field would be cool. Probably something like, "Force 3: All characters within six squares are considered activated, save 16."
Lol. I did, I actually went into the Enclave with HK, then he started to talk to the Sand People, and I was like, "Aww. Darn." Then, I just attacked one, and sliced my way through the Enclave again. It was awesome.
For sure. Light sided Jedi Master was almost more interesting than the Guardian.

Oh, they do less damage, but they are balanced, so you get less of a penalty. You do get an extra attack, so it does more damage in total. Playing as a Sith Marauder this time, I am using a double-bladed lightsaber. Right now, it is it's original colour (green), but I'm going to change it to purple and then red when I have a red crystal.
Sounds like a good saber. The personal crystal you get on Dantooine really boosts it.
Yeah, I was thinking like that except it would replace turn and be range 6 and the target and enemies within 3 squares are considered activated, save 16
Yeah, I thought they would attack me becuase HK doesn't have a disguise, so I never brought him.
Lol. I might try a Jedi Master. It sounds interesting. Lots of Stasis Field, Heal, and Force Wave. It's too bad the feats from the prestige class don't do a whole lot when you're on Malachor.

Hmm. Interesting. So you'd attack four times, as compared to three, with the twin "long-sabers?" You know, with the double-bladed saber, I never got used to any colors other than Bastila's yellow one and Maul's red one. A blue one looks really strange, but I think a green wouldn't be all that bad - it's just sort of odd, for me. Lol. Purple...hmm.
Yeah, for sure. I was a "kill everything" character, so my crystal might have been affected by my character traits. That was my +15 Damage/+5 Blaster Deflect, and the Solari Crystal, found in a tomb somewhere, (Korriban?), was +8 Damage against Dark-Siders. It was a nice saber.
Replace turn, naturally. Range six...oh, you mean you target a character within six squares? I was just thinking six squares from the caster...but that wouldn't be so bad, either.
Lol.
*Ahem* Force Crush was all I ever used on Storm Beasts. I think I had to do it twice against the Greater Storm Beast...lol. I know that Force Crush is the bonus for Sith Lords, but what are the other feats from the prestiege classes?
Whoo Hoo!! 7000th Post!!

You would normally get two attacks with two weapons (whether double-bladed, two long sabers, two short sabers, or any combination), unless you use Flurry or Juyo Style.
Green isn't too bad for the colour, it just looks weird with the armor I have (the golden Mandalorian armor). I changed it to purple, and it looks alright. I just killed the Queen on Onderon, and the only other colour I've found is orange.
That is nice. A few of the crystals are really good. When I killed Master Kavar (btw, I plan on making a custom for each of the Jedi Masters in KotOR II, or at least Zez-Kai El, Vrook and Kavar), he had a crystal called Upari on his remains. It is +2 attack and +1-8 energy damage, which is pretty good. Unfortunately, I already have the Qixoni Crystal, which is better, and I have my personal crystal, so I can't use it (I gave it to Visas).
If I remember correctly, Stasis Field was within X distance from the target enemy, like Insanity, instead of within X distance from the caster, like Force Storm. Thus the range 6, 3 square thing. I could be wrong, though.
I bought the guide book thing, so I can post a list of all the feats for the Prestige classes, if you're interested.
Congrats on 7000+ posts. Didn't you just get your 5000th? Lol.

Oh. Okay. I was always using Master Flurry, it was pretty much dominant with my style of fighting.
See, I fell in love with the robes, because they had capes. I also used FP's, which meant Armor restricted my bigger FP's - you know, Stasis Field, Master Speed, etc. I wore Calo Nord's Armor the first time I went through KotOR I, but I've always worn robes since. The robes in KotOR II are so cool, with those flowing capes.
I'm not sure I ever got the Upari crystal, but I recognize the name. Strange. What was the bonus for the Quixoni Crystal? I seem to recall getting ahold of a +5 Damage crystal in the bar on Onderon, for Dark Side points. That, plus an Adegan Lens, the Quixoni Crystal, that Ultimate Emitter from Sion, and you have a great saber. Geez, I might just have to play through just to get that saber.
Yeah, you're right. I'm pretty sure that's how it worked.
Yeah. That'd be cool. I might be playing it again, remember.
Lol. Didn't you just join the site and make your first post?

Yeah. It is also really powerful if you upgrade your lightsaber to increase the critical threat range and add damage on crits, and use Master Critical Strike. That's fun too, you can kill Darth Nihilus in two hits if both are crits.
Yeah, the robes are cool, but as a Marauder you need the armor to survive: you'll get ripped to shreads when you're in a Fury. When I played as a Sith Lord last time, there was a glitch and Darth Nihilus's body didn't disappear, and I wore the Dark Jedi Master robes on his remains for the rest of the game.
I think the bonus for the Qixoni is +5 damage and regen Force points 1. I always use it when I'm evil.
Yeah. If you're interested, just PM me and I'll PM you a list.
Lol. It really hasn't been that long, and I've eclipsed a lot of the other members and even some JCMs who haven't been on in a while. I guess we post fast.

Lol. 2 hits? That's ridiculous. The first time I played through KotOR, I upgraded Master Power Attack, and just pwned with that. But, Master Flurry looks cooler.
Does Fury lower your defense? That'd be interesting. I never liked the Dark Jedi Master robes, I always wore the Dark Jedi robes - they were solid black, as compared to gray and black for the DJM. I pick up Nihilus's mask every time through, too.
Huh. Interesting.
I may. Lol. I'll probably forget.
Yeah, I know. The JCMs are often few and far between. I think I'm top poster now, but I'd have to check that - Fuzz might still have me there. Pretty sure I'm the Karma Master, though.

Yeah. Power Attack can be deadly, too. M Flurry looks really cool with a Double-saber.
Once you get to Master level, I think Fury lowers your defense by 6. Although you get like +6 strength, immunity to stun, paralysis, etc., and more damage for each enemy you kill. It is fun to use.
I don't think I ever got the DJ robes, I was wearing some hideous Jal Shey or something armor before I wore the DJM robes.
Lol. You're up there, for sure. I don't think anyone else has 80+ Karma.
