Hello all,
A cool addition to the site is something called "Karma," which is represented by the smaller (usually two digit) number below a member's post count. It doesn't really have much point, but it's sort of a fun way to recommend a certain member to colleagues on the site, and to show appreciation for something they do.
You give Karma by clicking on the "Exalt" button on someone's profile information over on the left side, under their avatar and information. You take away Karma by clicking "Smite."
A note on Smiting: It isn't cool, and don't do it - ever. If someone does something you don't like, don't Smite them, as that just causes problems. We have Private Messaging on these forums for a reason - talk these things out and solve the problem before it gets worse.
Some reasons to give out good Karma are as follows: --You really like someone's custom stats (always something that's good here) --Someone did something cool, like created custom figures, wrote a cool backstory, or created an entire set. --You appreciate an idea that a member proposes in the General Board. --Someone reached a milestone in posting counts.
There are always more reasons to give out Karma. It's a lot of fun, and it's cool to have a high post count. We used to give out a lot of Karma on the old site, and that's something we need to start doing more of here.
Karma is cool. Start giving it out.
*waves hand*
You will start giving out Karma.

Lol. This is also the "Beg for Karma Thread." If you want more karma, post reasons why you think you need it, or post a good joke.

What NOT to say to a cop that pulls you over.
-- It wasn't my fault -- when I reached down to roll this joint, my gun fell off my lap and got lodged under the brake pedal.
-- I can't reach my license unless you hold my beer.
-- Sorry, Officer, I didn't realize I was driving.
-- Wow, you must've been doing about 125 mph to keep up with me!
-- I was going to be a cop, but I decided to finish high school instead.
-- You're not gonna check the trunk, are you?
-- You look just like my girlfriend's deadbeat ex-husband.
-- The question is -- do YOU know why you pulled me over?
-- I was trying to keep up with traffic, and it's miles ahead of me.
-- If you have to ask if I've been drinking, I'm not going to tell you, dude.
-- That's a sweet 9mm. You want to hold my .44 magnum?

Lol. How about:
There once was a cruise line. The flagship of the cruise line needed a new magician, because their old one retired. So, when the new magician began his first show on board ship, he discovered why the old magician quit: the captain of the ship had a parrot who knew the solution to all the tricks. The parrot would cry out, "The rabbit's under the table," or, "All the cards are the same!" which caused some problems for the magician's act. He couldn't do anything about it, though, because it was the captain's parrot. So it happened that one night, the ship sank, and there were only two survivors who ended up in the same lifeboat. Naturally, it was the parrot and the magician. The parrot said nothing for three days and nights, sitting deep in thought. Finally, on the fourth day the parrot said:
"I give up. What did you do with the ship?"

I just wish that when I hit Exalt that it doesn't pop me over to that persons profile.

I know Proboards is a bit basic, but is there a way to see who gave us karma or even leave a comment why we are giving them karma?
+Karma for an answer.
