Uhh, what characters besides the Garindian with Spotter would this guy have access to? I think if you replace Sync Fire with Accurate (He is a sniper...) then I think he would be fine.

I like Rogue Saber's idea. There can't be many pieces this guy would be able to use with Sync Fire, and Accurate Shot seems to fit better

Well there is the Jumptrooper (from the same set as this character), plus a bounty of other Spotter characters that I've made.

Well, assuming that this guy is played with other legal pieces, it doesn't give him that many options. Plus, Spotter only works when the spotter is within 6, and setup for them is hard enough as is.

Yeah that is true. Perhaps you could add character's with Stealth into the Sync Fire mix, so it would work with a lot more characters (including other Scout Troopers).

SO is Accurate out of the question? I still think he could use it, but maybe that's just me...

I don't think Accurate's out of the question. Whenever I look at a sniper I always consider it. It could work on this piece.

This is what we have so far. Keep thinking.

I just realized that the defense is very low, lower than even the Caamasi Noble. While it will go up significantly with Advantageous Cover, it would only be the same defense score as a normal Scout trooper in cover. I would suggest raising the defense by a point or two.

True, true. It should be the same as a scout, so maybe A. Cover isn't necessary. How 'bout Stealth instead, the normal has it, so it would be appropriate on this guy, plus he's a sniper.

Yeah, that would probably be better.

This is what we have so far. Keep thinking. Uh, there's a mistake. Its not characters with Stealth, its characters with Spotter. Fixed anyway. Perhaps you are right about Stealth. But the ST Snipers from TFU weren't really stealthy. So I'm not sure. I'll think about it.

We changed it to characters with Stealth since there are so few with spotter. And Sharrakor, not to be rude, but I don't think it's totally your decision on whether or not he has Stealth. This forum is for group discussion, and what the majority thinks would be most beneficial usually goes. I'm not saying you have no voice here, just please be open to changes, even if you don't exactly like them.

Fair enough. I never have and never will say it is entirely my decision. However, that doesn't mean I won't voice my opinion (expecially considering these are my customs). Though I suppose I haven't done that too well here. So to correct a mistake (or several), I'll discuss my viewpoint on both Stealth and Sync Fire:
Stealth: Honestly I don't think he needs it. As much as he is a sniper, he doesn't need it. And even the normal Scout Trooper having Stealth isn't a compelling reason. It just doesn't fit the "flavor" of the character.
Sync Fire with Spotter: Again, changing it to Sniper doesn't fit what I was going for with this character. The purpose of Sync Fire was to provide him with a special little ability that no one else has - an attack boost on top of a damage boost when a Spotter combines fire with him. Its an interesting gimmick.
Yes, I understand that aren't many characters with Spotter that he has access to, and yes, most of them are probably mine. But just because most of them are mine, doesn't necessarily mean they don't count. If there are other non-legal Spotter characters (and there are), then why must we assume this non-legal character is only going to be played with legal chaarcters?
