To all moderators;
Many of you have done this before, however, anyone who wishes to be a moderator must read and comment on both this thread and it's twin in Finalization. This is just so that we can establish a basic standard for finalizing miniatures.
Guidelines:
1. Leave figures in Stat Creation for around a week. This will allow people to see them, and comment upon them, and will give the community at large a chance to give the miniature their own seal of approval.
2. Remember; the person who put the miniature in Stat Creation has the final say on any specific detail on it. Guide gently, and be sure to state your own opinions and suggestions, but be sure to allow the creator to keep the miniature's basic structure and character.
3. Try to get two or three people to say something along the lines of, "I think it's done," before you do finalize. This way, people will have some way of guarding against power creep, and when they can agree, then everyone's happy.
4. Guard against power creep - that is, the gradual addition of super powerful characters to the game. While WotC hasn't done the best job of this (so much for any sets before A&E), we can make sure all of our miniatures are on the level, and none become obsolete.
5. Do not delete any threads or characters simply because you do not like them. Instead work with the creator to get a compromise that the creator is happy with.
If you have anything else to add, then feel free to add to this conversation.
