Still, I think Mando Iron is strong enough to merit a slight (verrry slight) increase.

Would Dark Armor + Lightsaber Resistance do it?

I've been meaning to suggest Dark Armor. But not Lightsaber Resistance.
I'd be cool with Dark Armor. Roque?

Hmm, Idk. Dark Armor just doesn't seem to fit him (the name, I mean) and I'm sure some time or another someone will come up with another Mandalorian Armor. So why not just make it now? The only advantage it gives is that lightsabers dont cut straight through it.

If it's just the name that's an issue for you, that's just the "It's a Trap!" problem...

Yeah. Lightsaber Resistance could take care of it quite nicely.

True. Also, we can increase the defense gained from LR, like +4, +6, etc

If you want.

Jm, didn't you come up with a Mando Armor SA recently? Wasn't it something like this:
Mandalorian Armor (+2 defense against nonadjacent enemies)
Perhaps Lightsaber Resistance is better, as it fits with the 'Jedi Hunter' theme more. What do you guys think?

Personally, that must be really pathetic armor to only grant a +2 defense increase. If anything, maybe something like (+3 defense against attacks) so it's different from other types of armor, but still useful against most damage directed toward it.

Well, +2 defense is nothing to sneeze at, especially when you combine it with the proper commanders (Jolee Bindo comes to mind). Wouldn't a +3 to defense against attacks be the same as just increasing the base defense by 3?
Again, if we think Lightsaber Resistance would be better, than we can go with that.

+2 isn't bad. The thing about Defense bonuses is that if you want to give a large bonus in an ability, then you can't set the base Defense too high. If you set the Defense at 17, or 18, and the armor at +3, then with the armor the character would have 20 or 21 Defense - in other words, Jedi-like Defense on a Mandalorian, which seems a little odd. This way (a small boost in the ability) allows for a relatively high base Defense against melee attacks, and a level of Defense against non-melee attacks which isn't unacceptably high.
Does that make sense?

Yeah, +2 is quite useful. Most non-unique Mandos have a defense of 16 or 17, so a +2 is useful, but not overpowered.

Indeed. Don't you think, RS?

Ok, I guess I'll concede the argument, this time. I'm still rooting for a good ol', tough as nails style of Mando Armor. Lightsaber Resistance will work for now.
