Lord Tyrannus Cost: 58 HP: 110 Def: 21 Atk: +14 Dmg: 20 Special Abilities Melee attack; Double attack Makashi Style Mastery (When hit by a melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11. Shii-Cho, Soresu, Ataru, and Niman Style cannot be used against this character.) Unique Force powers Force 2; Force Renewal 1; Master of the Force 2 Force Grip 3 (Force 3, replaces attacks: sight; 30 damage to target.) Force lightning 2 (Force 2, replaces attacks: range 6; 30 damage to target and 2 characters adjacent to that target) Lightsaber Riposte (Force 1: When hit by a melee attack, this character can make an immediate attack against that attacker) Commander Effect Allied Commanders within 6 squares gain Avoid Defeat. Allied Commanders with a Force Rating gain Mettle.
This is the Mighty leader of the Seperatist Faction as the Commander We hope him to be! As far as timeline goes, this is Dooku circa the new animated televison series. He really is a master of the Force and a deadly combatant and commander!

Haven't compared him to the other Dookuys to make sure there's enough similarity, but on his own, he seems solid. My only concern is the commander effect. I definitely like it for the faction, but maybe not for HIM. Seems like it should be on someone like Poggle the Lesser (who runs the factories, after all). Maybe he can have a special ability called "Am I the only semi-competent Separatist?" Not sure what it would do, but I've seen it in action in almost every episode of the TV series.

LoL, good point gwek. I'll look into "Am I the only semi-competent Seperatist" But you raise a good point-His commander effect might be better served on another seperatist leader. That being said, what would be a good replacement CE then?

Not sure. I'll give it some thought.
By the way, when you do use Droid Upgrade, you might want to make it a special ability rather than a (Disruptable) commander effect. If the bonus HPs appear and disappear via disruption, it's a potential gaming headache.

Ok, So this is my thinking.....
Drop His current CE on Lok Drud Take Asajj's CE and give it to Tyrannus
Hows that look for ya? Dooku seems like the only real general beyond grievous that could offer synergy relaistically

Yeah, although I like Droid Upgrade, I'd rather see it on someone else.
I think Synergy could work on him (although I have a thought on that in Ventress's thread, too).

After seeing the CW episode, and reading your comment, I think we will keep Asajj with Synergy.
Dooku, however, has a new CE idea that I think fits him, and benefits the Seps.
Commander Effect: Allied Commanders Gain Extra attack and +2 Defense.
We rarely ever see Dooku leading droid troops into battle, and yet people always want him to have a nice CE. Well, we do see him working directly with Commanders, so why not a CE that boosts the seps lackluster Commanders?
Right here his CE boosts the older Durge and Asajj, all the Grievouses, and any fringe help you pull in.
Just an idea. Not the exact CE I want, but close enough that it gives us a spring board to build one.

Funny thing: After reading your comments in Ventress, I stopped to think about Dooku and his role in the cartoon... and reached the same conclusion!
Dooku's main role in the cartoon seems to be to give his subordinate agents a second change. I was going to suggest perhaps something related to saving throws, maybe something allowing allied commanders a reroll on saves?
Extra attack on some of the Sep commanders could be pretty scary, by the way!
Regardless of the exact details, I think we've got the new spin of "a commander's commander" for Dooku.

Sweet, we are so on the same wavelength!
So if he is to be a Commanders Commander, what should he do?

Well, looking at the official Sep commanders (customs not included), most are pretty potent combatants (Gunray and San Hill excepted, of course). Extra combat effectiveness never hurts, but I'm not sure what the "hook" would be.
As I said before, Dooku seems to constantly be telling his underlings "I'll give you one last chance. Don't fail me," so I might go with something in that directions, perhaps related to saving throws (as previously mentioned), or maybe granting them Avoid Defeat.

Avoid defeat sounds good. Lets see if we can get some more agreement before we give it to him as a CE

I think either one of those options sound good, although I'd lean more to the bonuses to saves personally.
EDIT: Also, isn't Tyranus spelt with one 'n'?

It could be.....spelling via a computer is not my forte!
However, I think I will change the CE to a save based one now

I don't know if this is intentional or not, but his stats are lower than most of the other Dookus (I took a look earlier today). He's also lacking his "signature" Lightsaber Duelist. I know you're working on him more as a commander, but it's such a part of him that I'd say keep it.
To me, he looks good except for some fine tuning (which might ultimately impact the cost).

Im good to add Lightsaber Duelist. How much will it impact the cost.
