Sullustan Tech Cost: 14 Faction: Fringe Rarity: Common Hit Points: 10 Defense: 14 Attack: 1 Damage: 10
Melee Attack Creative Programming (Replaces attacks: sight; 1 allied Droid character of large size or smaller immediately uses a special ability that replaces attacks, then takes 10 damage) Tractor Beam Upgrade (Droids allies within 6 squares gain Tractor Lift 3 [When using special abilities whose name contains Lift, this character treats characters up to 2 squares away as adjacent])

Would the damage from Creative Programming be able to be prevented by Shields or DR?

Interesting question. I imagine that Shields and Damage Reduction WOULD prevent it. Do similar abilities stop the damage from Pawn of the Dark Side?
I was originally thinking of limiting Creative Programming to droids smaller than huge, and that might be a good idea. If you take the huges out of the equation, I think there are only 1 or 2 pieces that have both Shields/DR and a special ability that replaces attacks.
While a number of different factions can benefit, if Shields CAN prevent it, it creates a nice synergy with the following:
*The Sith Assault Droid (who has Shields and Flamethrower) *Adum Larp (Old Republic), who can give Shields 1 to unique droids; since there are no OR unique droids officially, that's the ones from the Fringe) *Camper (in association with Adum), because he can make a single droid unique in order to benefit from Adum

Well, I think if you want to do that change it'd be fine.
Actually, I had a look through characters who benefit, and you'll probably want to remove Huges from the ability. Unless you want the Hailfire or Walking Starfighter to double Missiles 40.
(Arguably that might make them useful).

for the TB upgrade - can you lift enemies or just allies? Also can you lift someone who is 2 squares away if there's a character in between them?

Tractor Beam Upgrade doesn't let you lift anyone, per se. It simply modifies Droids who already have a Lift ability (there are currently two of these).
Hadn't thought about what happens if there's an intervening character. Hm.

On the topic of Tractor Lift, I'd say you'd still be able to move them even if there's a character in between. There's no logical reason why you couldn't.
Is there any abilities similar to this? What about Levitate?

Yeah, I think the closest analog would be Levitate.

But we don't have a ruling for it yet do we?

None that I know of, but I agree that there seems to be no reason why either ability should require uninterrupted LoS.
