Crazed Rancor (((Fringe))) Cost:35 HP: 110 Def: 17 Atk: +11 Dmg: 20
SA: Savage Melee Attack Melee Reach 2 Regeneration 10 Speed 8 Double Attack Ambush Throw (Replaces attacks: This character may deal damage equal to the printed damage of an adjacent ally of base size medium or smaller. If the ally is medium, range 6. If the ally is small or smaller, range 12. The ally is defeated and treated as being defeated adjacent to the target of this ability.)
---
The other day I was playing a game against an Exar team. While the team didn't have a Rancor on it, it did have a Wampa who was adjacent to one of his Ughs. We both joked saying how the Wampa had LoS to one of my characters and could "Throw" the Ugh across the board. So I just wanted to create a figure that did just that.

I like throw as a concept except that I think it needs a range limit

How about Range 6 if the figure being tossed is Medium and 12 if it is Small.

I think that would work fine.

It's still a little confusing. Could you explain exactly what Throw does?

"Instead of making its normal attacks THIS CHARACTER may instead deal damage equal to the DMG value of an adjacent medium or smaller ally. If you do, the adjacent figure is defeated and treated as being defeated adjacent to the target of THIS CHARACTERS attack."
So say that Crazed Rancor is within 6 squares of GenObi and you have a Keldor BH adjacent to the Rancor. Instead of attacking the Rancor can 'Throw' the Keldor at GenObi and deal 10 DMG to GenObi since 10 is the printed DMG on the Keldor's card. The Keldor is now defeated so its Self Destruct goes off, but it is treated as adjacent to GenObi so it hits GenObi for 40 DMG on opt of the 10 it is already dealing. The damage goes through Soresu since it is not an attack and has no save.
You can do the same if GenObi is 12 squares away and you have a small based figure adjacent to the Rancor. So you can throw Yoda, Jedi Master at GenObi and deal 20 DMG. Of course, you just lost 64 points of your team, but if Yoda was going to die anyway you might as well 'Throw' him.
Hope that clears it up.

So it would deal the character your throwing's base damage, with no modifiers involved (ie: Cunning Attack, CEs, etc)? Very good idea, Zuty, and this could help with GOWK problems, like you said.

Yes, no mods would go off. Even if the Rancor had Opportunist/Cunning nothing gets modified. Its the same as if you game Oppotunist/Cunning to someone with Missles X, still does just X damage.

EDIT: Reworded Throw. I hope that helps make more sense.

GOWK is General Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Ok, that makes much more sense. We might need to do some rewording so we aren't confused when we look at this is a couple months. Good work.
